The Fairmont is a beautiful family resort with its barometer pointed toward luxury. It is a huge property on 65 acres with 750 rooms. In addition to a hotel, there are villa casitas and perhaps other accommodations that I did not see. My hotel room was pretty average with a few upscale amenities like bathrobes and steamers in the closet. This is where my customer service story starts. First it is July in Arizona and the temperatures reached 116. So when I couldn’t get my room to stay cool, I was up every couple of hours the first night to turn the air down because the thermostat insisted on turning itself up. Since I was speaking at a conference, I had brought a pink jacket and was delighted to see a steamer in my closet because the jacket had wrinkled in my suitcase. However, when I used it, it put a couple of black residue spots on my jacket. I had received a text message from the hotel staff previously welcoming me and inviting me to let them know if I needed anything. So I texted the issues with the temperature and the steamer. Some lovely person named Simone took care of all of this for me right away. When I came back to my room that evening, my room was cool and my jacket had been sent to the cleaners and was hanging fresh in my closet with no stains. Super customer service. There are some lovely high end restaurants, and the conference food was amazing. Something you don’t always say about conference food- but it was truly a gourmet delight. I saw four pools on the property, and the overall cowboy ranch suited the Arizona southwest vibe to a tee. Even the valet parkers were wearing cowboy hats. Hats off to the Princess for a lovely Arizona luxury resort experience.

Great hotel and the employees were so helpful and friendly. Sophia the bartender at the pool was outstanding and went above and beyond to accommodate us. We would definitely come back.

There is a lot of walking involved at this place inside and outside! I went for a conference. I walked 10 miles in 4 days. The theme is great, really cute places to take pics. The on-site restaurants were ok, of course a lot of spicy food, so be prepared for that! The vegetarian options were really not very good at all. The staff is very helpful and friendly. There were little things that were annoying, no hot water in my room (C1025). The handle kept falling down so I had to secure it in the supposedly "hot" position with a hair scrunchy, but still no hot water, lukewarm at best. Strange comment, but the doors (to my room and other places) had so much space around them when closed. It seems like they would want the AC to be as efficient as possible?! As a result, my room really didn't get nice and cold like I like to sleep. The cover options on the bed were either a sheet or a hot comforter. The king rooms are set up nice and are very spacious. I loved having a balcony to sit on in the morning. The lack of good signage got us lost (which accounts for some extra walking outside). We had a formal dinner the last night in the Princess Ballroom, which was very nice. We got all dressed up in our rooms, did our hair, walked outside to walk to the conference center and the hot air just ruined our hair. On my last night there one of the workers was rolling around a cart on the second floor outside at 10:47 p.m. Very noisy. I couldn't get to sleep. Also, I didn't see any recycling bins. The stores on site were outrageous. Not just the clothing stores but even T-shirts ($50) and first aid supplies.

This property has so much potential—with beautifully refreshed outdoor rooftop pool spaces and truly excellent spa staff including that of the Sisley Spa that rivals services received in France. From the outside, it feels like a five-star experience waiting to happen. Unfortunately, that was overshadowed by serious maintenance issues that are hard to ignore: spa showers with poor drainage, visible signs of water damage and mold, and what seems like leaky plumbing behind the walls. These aren’t minor cosmetic flaws—they’re red flags that indicate the infrastructure needs urgent TLC. It’s especially disappointing considering how strong the guest-facing amenities are. The property desperately needs a full technical inspection and facilities refresh to match the polished image it’s trying to present.

Very big resort in Scottsdale. Has a golf course and 3 swimming pools and lots of leisure activities including many for kids. Hotel also has a very upscale and big spa. Hotel has very attentive and praiseworthy Concierge and Reception sevices. Rooms and bathrooms are spacious . No bathtub in such a upscale resort is a miss. Room service is good and breakfast is buffet and good spread. Hotel has many restaurants. We tried the Mexican. It was very good including the service.
