Really nice and modern hotel. We got a free room upgrade which was nice, as the room was huge with a very large wash room (bath and shower). It was a great location, very short walk to restaurants, bars, the waterfront and pike place market. Also close to the link light therefore easy to get to from the airport. Staff were friendly and helpful - thank you

We've been Seahawk season ticket holders for 20 years, but for the last 15 (ish) we have been living outside of Seattle, first a 3 hour drive and now a 7 hour drive. Needless to say, we've stayed in a lot of downtown Seattle hotels. It was time to try the Alexis Royal Sonesta Hotel at the corner of Madison and First downtown, and it did not disappoint! Very friendly and efficient check in process (we arrived at 5 pm on a Saturday), wonderful valet service (Scott even picked up the trolley from outside our room so we didn't have to take it back downstairs), and walkable to everything we needed. We were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade when we checked in, which came with a lovely view of the water, Pier 56, and the ferris wheel. Having brought binoculars for the game, we had a blast zooming in on the vessels coming and going from the mainland. The room was so charming, and we enjoyed every minute of the upgraded suite. Comfortable bed and pillows, well-appointed area to relax and watch more football, clever mini bar and coffee setup where we could easily store our game day necessities. Everything was very clean, we had plenty of towels, I was surprised to find a handheld steamer (in addition to the iron and ironing board), and the bathroom in this room was huge! I loved the wet room style tub and shower combination, which was well-stocked with quality bath products, a stool for sitting (or I suppose shaving), and one of those book-holder things for the outstanding tub (which easily fits two average-sized humans) ;). I've made reservations for a November game (during the Thanksgiving weekend) at another hotel, but I'm strongly considering switching to the Alexis Royal Sonesta instead, it was that good. Bravo to the friendly staff and hospitality leadership with the Sonesta group. Seattle represents you well!

I booked 2 rooms for 2 nights for my family using Sonesta points. FYI -- As a Platinum member, there was no welcome gift or free breakfast which some Sonestas participate in. But I was greeted warmly by the front desk and the bell hop who grabbed all our luggage from the taxi. I did put in a request for early check-in and was able to do so. The building only has four floors and felt more like a boutique hotel than a chain. The room itself was quite large with enough space to open big suitcases if needed. Each room was a little bit different. I had a corner room, and my sister had the room next door. She had a desk in hers while I had a small round dining table. The windows were huge and let in a lot of natural sunlight. The bathrooms were clean and just had showers (no tubs in case you need that for kids). There was a fridge, but no kettle or microwave. I was able to get both a kettle and microwave delivered to my room by room service though.

The front desk staff were very friendly, and there are beautiful touches all over the hotel. There are 2 gyms, one on the 3rd and one on the 4th floor. Both are (small but) awesome, one is more dedicated to cardio but also has foam rollers and dumbbells, and the other has a rock wall, monkey bars, plyo boxes, air bike, dumbbells and kettlebells. Location was perfect- 1st Ave is lined with shops, cafes, galleries and restaurants, and you’re about 2 blocks from the waterfront park area. We stayed in the king suite which was gorgeous. Large dining table, comfortable sectional couch, and separate bedroom. The 2 things that made this hotel less than a perfect 5 stars- the shower was just inconvenient and thoughtlessly designed. Definitely went for aesthetic over function. The half glass is nice looking but water gets everywhere, but more importantly, there isn’t a single ledge to put your own items on, and it’s just a shower (not a tub) so if you’re using any sort of product outside of their shampoo/conditioner/soap, like perhaps face wash or a razor, you’re putting it on the shower floor. The other thing was the wifi was a bit spotty. With that said, I’d stay here again and highly recommend!

Great family trip in downtown waterfront area. Hotel has excellent staff. Restaurant is a bit pricey but good food. Location is good for exploring Seattle.
