Alexis Royal Sonesta Hotel Seattle

The location is a plus. Near Pike Market. The rooms are dark and the light controls are not smart. Also, a lamp above the coffee maker needed to be unplugged when you are making coffee. No other socket to put it on. The sole restaurant closes at 10 but the kitchen closes earlier. We arrived from the airport past 9 and no meal could be had. Huhu. We starved because other than bars, other places are closed as well. Breakfast was okay but not part of the room rate. The staff are acceptable but not very receptive. Somewhat aloof. When asked, capable. The rooms are big and clean. The bed and linen is good for sleep. The toilet big and clean. These last three comments and the location are the source of the 3 rating, otherwise not an acceptable place to stay in for the cost.

My husband and I stayed in October 2025 and were upgraded for our anniversary to a spa suite with an amazing hot tub and complimentary champagne! The service was friendly and welcoming and the location is perfect. The onsite restaurant is also a fantastic spot for an even nightcap. The hotel is also a very easy walk to the stadiums past many other bars and restaurants. 10/10 will stay again!

This hotel is very beautiful with friendly staff! However, it is a bit pricey and both times I’ve stayed the sheets smelled so bad of b.o. / unwashed bodies. I’m well aware hotels don’t wash sheets between every customer (even though I wish they did) but for the amount charged per night I would love to have sheets that weren’t so noticeably musty that it was hard to fall asleep. Otherwise a very nice hotel and very close to the pike place market!

I will start with the unusual house keeping service. I know hotels worldwide are changing their house keeping services, presumably to save money. More and more having to request the room cleaned, as opposed to a daily clean. But this hotel had a new one on me. You had to put a card on your door no later than 2am !!!! for your room to be cleaned. God knows what time they would have come knocking. We didn’t find out. We decided to not have the room cleaned during our stay. Strange!! Now to the hotel the hotel itself. Location was great. 10 minutes to Pike market, and to Pier 54. Anywhere above 1st Avenue which is where the hotel is situated, is a brutal climb. The room was nice and big, though a bit dark. But the dark ambiance, is another thing, that is becoming the norm in hotels worldwide. The staff were very nice and efficient. The hotel was also very clean. On the whole an enjoyable stay.
