Alexis Royal Sonesta Hotel Seattle

The front desk staff were very friendly, and there are beautiful touches all over the hotel. There are 2 gyms, one on the 3rd and one on the 4th floor. Both are (small but) awesome, one is more dedicated to cardio but also has foam rollers and dumbbells, and the other has a rock wall, monkey bars, plyo boxes, air bike, dumbbells and kettlebells. Location was perfect- 1st Ave is lined with shops, cafes, galleries and restaurants, and you’re about 2 blocks from the waterfront park area. We stayed in the king suite which was gorgeous. Large dining table, comfortable sectional couch, and separate bedroom. The 2 things that made this hotel less than a perfect 5 stars- the shower was just inconvenient and thoughtlessly designed. Definitely went for aesthetic over function. The half glass is nice looking but water gets everywhere, but more importantly, there isn’t a single ledge to put your own items on, and it’s just a shower (not a tub) so if you’re using any sort of product outside of their shampoo/conditioner/soap, like perhaps face wash or a razor, you’re putting it on the shower floor. The other thing was the wifi was a bit spotty. With that said, I’d stay here again and highly recommend!

Great family trip in downtown waterfront area. Hotel has excellent staff. Restaurant is a bit pricey but good food. Location is good for exploring Seattle.

It’s a decent hotel in a good location. Staff nice but note the bar is not part of hotel and shuts early. Rooms are dated but ok. There is a resort fee which is annoying as it’s for “wifi” (it’s 2025! ) and two bottles of water! You do get a credit for the cafe but I hate those extras. Desk staff did waive the fee which. Was appreciated as not their fault.

We opted for a quiet nicer area. This was the spot. Close to Pike Place Market & the pier for our cruises and don't forget the water taxi to West Seattle Alki Beach! I'd stay here again. I don't care for room service food so if you're like me, prefer to bring in own food, don't let the other reviews scare you away.

100% recommend this hotel. We only stayed one night before a cruise and the hotel and staff were wonderful. The front desk gentleman (2) were very professional and courteous with making sure my request was met. The bellmen were also very accommodating as we were early for check-in and wanted to walk around the city and then we had time after our checkout and needed to leave our luggage as well. On our way to the cruise, the bellman ordered us a minivan taxi to accommodate us and all our luggage. The coffee shop next door (separate entrance) was really good, top ten lattes I have had. We ate at the restaurant on site for dinner and it was about a 6/10. potstickers were closer to a 4/10. The hotel is a great location to walk to places. About 10 minutes to Pike Place/ Pier 57/Gum wall and about 10 minutes to Pioneer Square area, both worth seeing. The rooms are large and very comfortable beds, noise was very low from the outside and bathrooms are also a generous size. I would definitely stay here again if in town.
