Seattle’s only over-water hotel: where rock’n’roll history meets Pacific Northwest luxury. The Edgewater Hotel is laden with a rich musical past and surrounded by breathtaking views of the Olympic Mountains, Elliott Bay and the sparkling city. Consistently named one of the best hotels in Seattle, our unique location on Pier 67 means you’re just a short walk to everything you want to do in our evergreen city. Relax in luxurious waterfront or cityside accommodations knowing you’re doing the same as the Beatles, Pearl Jam and the Foo Fighters once did. We’ll even loan you complimentary rental guitars, sheet music and record players to inspire you to fully experience life at The Edge.

Main issue is that due to declining customers, management has permanently closed the restaurant for breakfast and instead wants you to order room service and eat in your room. What’s the point of staying at Edgewater if you have to eat in your room? The nearest sit down breakfast option is the Hilton Hotel, located just a short walk away. It has a lovely full service dining room and great amenities. Now that we’ve been forced to check it out we will probably stay there on our next visit. The restaurant closure is going to backfire on the Edgewater, a very shortsighted cost saving measure. Also, our check-in clerk was an unhelpful young man wearing a face mask who wouldn’t make eye contact and barely spoke. Assigned us wrong room (2 single beds) which we discovered after long hike to very end of hall on 3rd floor. Returned and asked for large bed suitable for a couple and a water view room. After another long hike, discovered he had failed to give us a water view. We gave up in frustration.

The room, view and location were all that I’d hoped for. I’ve wanted to stay here since I was a little girl! One big disappointment though. We rushed down in the morning ready for a beautiful breakfast over the water. We had a $60 voucher for breakfast through our credit card. On arrival to the dining room we were told they only open on Saturday and Sunday now. We were told to eat in the gift shop so had lattes and breakfast burritos. The food was good and the employees so nice, but we expected a full service breakfast and were greatly disappointed.

Our stay was fabulous! Would highly recommend this hotel. Staff were great, food was delicious, and the view is unbeatable! Beds were really comfy too.

Location is amazing! On the water. Great staff. Am disappointed that breakfast at the restaurant is only on Saturday and Sunday! It’s such a great space. Hope breakfast at the restaurant is offered everyday soon.

Places that you visit that are considered a destination require a combination of unique pieces. A raison d'etre so to speak. I would say that once upon a time the Edgewater hotel had that. Beautiful views with a scrumptious breakfast where you could enjoy the cascading dalliance of the first hints of sunlight dipping on the gossamer feathers of the heron in the distance. Now, now you get the standard hotel with no real reason to treat it as the adventure. Why would I come here to just sleep in the room and then have to go find breakfast in the city? I want a get away, not another stop. I have previously enjoyed eating here and staying here, but now I won't do either. A world class hotel has a first class breakfast, a destination hotel has a wonderful breakfast, a Holiday Inn has a breakfast. The Edgewater Motel, has... no breakfast. Give me a break, if you're cutting costs by removing breakfast service, get out of here. In conclusion, save yourself some time and rethink the destination. Bring back breakfast and Bring back the Super Sonics!
