When the property now known as The Fairmont Olympic Hotel, Seattle debuted in the Roaring Twenties, it marked the arrival of the Pacific Northwest – until then, hotels of that caliber were found east of Chicago. It hosted countless galas, debutante balls and presidential visits – JFK stayed here in 1961 – and, in 1979, joined the ranks of the National Register of Historic Places. Italian Renaissance architecture and Old World style meld into a centrally located Seattle landmark that hosts a AAA Four Diamond Award-winning restaurant and one of the city's oldest oyster bars.

Excellent location with impressive rooms and staff. We had a spacious suite on 9th floor. Gym is great with plenty of cardio options. A little light on strength training but awesome indoor pool. George restaurant was slow and food ok. Shuckers is excellent across the board

There is much to recommend this hotel. Location is perfect. Rooms are comfortable and furnished to a high standard. Public spaces are very well appointed. The pool area is modern and very enjoyable. It has everything to make it a 5 star hotel. Except the basic services that should be perfunctory couldn’t be counted on. In fairness, service in the restaurant was friendly, efficient and professional. Two very early room service breakfasts were delivered right on time and as ordered. But the room lacked basic items (soap, shampoo, robe), and the concierge totally failed on a birthday request that was arranged and confirmed. Even an escalation to the executive level did not fix it. There are lots of nice hotels in Seattle at this price point. The Fairmont would absolutely be worth the stay, if they did a better job of getting the little things right.

A proper hotel in an excellent location. Take the new $2 light rail to/from the airport and you are a 3 minute walk from the hotel (albeit uphill) when you arrive in the city. You can tell that the hotel is high quality with ‘proper’ well appointed rooms and a really solid quality feel. Only niggle is in your room you are provided a miniscule 200ml box of water each day (that really doesn’t go far between 2 people and just looks cheap!)

When we arrived at the front desk we were greeted by a wonderful smiling face and great personality , CAROLYN Crawford had the best welcome I ever had, thank you. The room was clean, beautiful and spacious. The coffee shop at the 4th street is a nice place to relax and enjoy the breakfast.

Extra credit i forgot to give to some very kind employees. i wrote my review already last week and i wanted to add how great all your staff are. i forgot to mention Eric from the Espresso Bar in the morning. so efficient and always great with us. also wanted to mention Darla and of course Mama from Shuckers. so professional and made our dinners so enjoyable outside and inside. we remembered all of them from years ago. they deserve credit for sure. thank you so much.
