Grand Hyatt Seattle

What a place to celebrate a birthday/retirement gift to myself! I thoroughly enjoyed the view from the 30th floor; the food was amazing; the staff went well above and beyond to make my celebration wonderful. It was a once in a lifetime vacation!

We stayed in a King Room for a couple days while attending Comicon this week. The hotel was beyond our expectations. We have stayed at Hyatt Grand and Regency locations in Hawaii and always were very impressed but I think the location near the convention tempered our expectations. Hotels near convention centers are generally good, but not great (I've stayed in my share while tagging along on business trips over the years). We valet parked which was very convenient given how busy things were and the lobby was unexpectedly grand. I was surprised how spacious and beautiful it was. The room was likewise very nice. The bathroom was almost too big and had both a large shower and large bathtub with marble tile. The bed was comfortable. I universally hate hotel pillows (and wish you could pay extra for better ones) but that is nothing unique to this hotel. We weren't in a "high room" but could still see the Puget Sound pretty well. There were automated blackout curtains and the room was very quiet. You can hear some street noise but we generally use a small noise machine and didn't hear much of anything other than the occasional door from a neighboring room. In general the property seems well maintained and fairly updated. Only the hallways seemed maybe a bit dated. There are several restaurants attached to the lobby. We utilized them all to some degree and they were all good and convenient. Check in was quick and easy. So was check out. We were given a credit for not needing housekeeping during our stay which was unexpected. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The service was very good and accommodating. Unfortunately, I only took a couple photos. The location is very good. It is within a short walking distance of a lot of good food, the convention center buildings, and shopping centers. There is also a lot of access to light rail in this area. We didn't use it, but I did work in the area some years ago and am aware that you could easily take it to Chinatown and other parts of the city from here. Pike place market and other points of interest are a reasonable walk away as well. Though we don't live far away, we felt staying would be more convenient than dealing with traffic every day and we enjoyed our stay so much that we're planning to book again for next year.

Beautiful clean hotel with exceptional service. Location is ideal for buisness at the Seattle Convention Center. I enjoyed my stay!

Tremendous location. Impressive hotel. Grand entrance, with warm and welcoming amenities. My room was spacious and luxurious. The price was very reasonable.

Love staying at the Grand Hyatt - best hotel in downtown Seattle! Best service, best rooms, great location! I stay every year for a few days during the flower and garden show and it is always a comfortable, relaxing, and luxurious experience. And at a great value/cost.
