The W Seattle is a mixed bag: all of the staff were very nice, our room was in decent condition, and it is within walking distance of the waterfront and a light rail station (Symphony -- where you can get a train to/from SEATAC airport but takes almost an hour from terminal to hotel), but it more of a 3-star hotel than a "luxury" hotel, there is no apparent place to park your car for a few minutes while you are unloading your bags and checking in, and the valet parking is a mess. Bottom line: if you get a cheap rate, don't expect a 4- or 5-star experience, and don't have a car with you, it is worth considering staying here.

Great hotel with a need for an update. Clean, quiet rooms with good, quiet temperature control. The cafe was a surprise for us. Good cocktails, nibbles and morning breakfast. Free coffee in the morning.

I assumed W would be a great hotel in a good location downtown. We booked 3 rooms for our family months in advance. When we arrived (4pm) the rooms were in different levels, one was not ready. The food we ordered in from room service was terrible and we didn’t eat it. Lastly, we asked for more blankets ( we had a baby in a crib), they said they are all out of blankets. Not sure how they run this W.

BE AWARE: bad experience at the W Seattle valet parking (no self parking) Our car charger adapter was left hanging still plugged in at the outlet when they pulled our car out of the parking. Parking attendant does not even know how to take it out of the port. He keeps yanking the adapter and forcing to open/close the port (I did let this slide, no big deal) however, the next day, at check out we were informed that the car was damaged the night before. They did not made us aware the moment it happened; instead they waited the next morning to tell us about it. They should train their staff better and make sure they know how to drive different types of car. We always stay at Marriot hotels but because of this bad experience we won’t be coming back to this specific hotel.

I’ve stayed at the W Seattle over 10 times for business, and it continues to be my go-to hotel in the city. The front desk team is consistently warm, professional, and genuinely hospitable — they always make check-in feel personal, not transactional. The rooms are reliably clean and comfortable, with great beds and all the essentials for a work trip. While the decor is starting to feel a bit dated compared to other W properties, everything is well-maintained and functional. Housekeeping does an excellent job every time. What really stands out is the in-room dining. The menu is thoughtful and high-quality, and the in-room dining staff are prompt, friendly, and efficient. It makes winding down after a long day that much easier. More than anything, I always feel at home when I stay here — a rare and appreciated feeling for frequent travelers. Looking forward to my next visit.
