BEST weekend at the W thanks to James!!!!!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

Not only was our room amazing for our wedding weekend, but the W Bar really went above and beyond to make our experience perfect. James, spent time with us and made sure we felt special and taken care of! All our friends stayed at the W bar all night the night of our wedding because it was so fun and we didn’t want to leave! The bartenders were so fun and nice even though we really took over the room. Literally the best night of our lives! James also sent a bottle of champagne to our room, which was beautiful with the northern lights in the back! Also our room was amazing and perfect for getting hair and makeup for our wedding. We love the W! Can’t wait to go back for a staycation sometime soon!!!

Trip to ECCC 2024

Lets start with the part that can make or break a stay, the staff. Our flight got in at around 1p and we were at the hotel no later than 1:30, the young man that checked us in was very helpful and was able to put us in a room that was ready. The young lady that was also working, was very delightful. Because of these 2 wonderful staff members we were probably able to save a few hundred dollars in Uber or Lyft fees. They gave us the best way to get around, where things were, etc. Very knowledgeable of the downtown area. Kudos! The room was fantastic. Comfortable bed, nice sitting area, the essentials, but we had a corner room facing the water and although it was a gloomy weekend, it was a beautiful view. We tried the food at the hotel for one of the nights, the burger was ok, however, the fries were excellent. I mean some really good fries (weird I know). The location is smack in the middle of downtown. We were near enough to the convention center that we walked every morning and evening, it was cold, but nice, no issues walking around either. On Friday night we walked to the Crocodile for a cover band show, and it was a pleasant walk there and back (even at midnight). There is a ton of shopping in the area and places to eat, so feel free to walk around and check it out. The front desk team recommended the monorail to get to the science center area and they were spot on, way better than catching an Uber and it was 14 bucks round trip for 2 people on a Kraken's game night. We had a hiccup with parking, the hotel charged me a full day of onsite valet parking for a few minutes while I walked upstairs to get my bags and check out, unfortunately it wasn't until we were at the airport that I noticed the $68 charge. However, they were able to sort it all out at the end. Awesome service, perfect location and great amenities, what else can I ask for? If you are not from the Seattle area, please note that Seattle has fees for everything! So if you want to order takeout, be prepared to dish out and extra $10-12 for a service fee if you have a subscription to a meal delivery service and more if you don't. Lastly, 1 can of Pepsi from the minibar is $7 plus tax.

A great stay downtown

A very nice stay at the W. Great location to most attractions, but with most of the city it’s wise to be on your guard when wandering outside as the local “un-housed” population can be aggressive. The hotel staff was very friendly, helpful and accommodating throughout the stay. Amenities like in-room access to internet (with no extra cost) and the fitness room were better than expected. However parking was a bit pricey (but not out of step with the city). All in all a great stay.

Love the location

Love this downtown hotel in great location. Walkable to Pike Fish Market area and many Seattle attractions. My room is big, clean and very comfortable. Breakfast is very good but take a long time to get our food. Tried room service and dinner at the bar is all good. The lobby area with the fireplace is cool place to chill. The only issue is housekeeping did not clean our room during the four day stay. It turned out you have to request housekeeping service the night before.

Great Location, Alright Hotel

Location was great, easy walk to Pikes Place and restaurants. The hotel itself was a bit underwhelming. Seemed outdated. The bed was comfortable. If you're looking for a high end hotel experience, this is not it. This is more upper middle class.
