We chose the Plaza because of its central location near City Hall. Most of Seoul’s sites are walkable and, for all other, the subway and taxis are easily accessed. An older hotel, it far exceeded expectations. Our room - a junior suite on a higher floor - was large and comfortable with views of the city and mountains. The club service was a great place to unwind and have breakfast. And all staff were terrific, with a special shout out to the concierge.

I booked a week through my business and paid in full for the booking and the discount. I was assured that if there were any changes in my schedule that The Plaza could change my dates or refund the charge if a cancellation was made at least 48 hours in advance. unfortunately for clients or potential clients, this is not what was honored. I asked to reschedule the booking and they were unable to do so as they were full. I asked for a cancellation and they said it was 24 hours and too late. I agreed and asked them to charge the first night and refund the six other days and they refused, keeping seven day charge. There are other great places in Seoul to stay, including hanoks.

The hotel itself appeared rather nice and it was in a central location. However the room we had was small, poorly laid out, shabbily decorated with peeling pink wallpaper and sorely in need of an update. When we requested a room change we were told they were sold out for the next several days yet we learned that another couple was able to upgrade their room the following day.

The room is very modern, but a bit small. The breakfast buffet was good, especially their truffle mashed potato! The location of the hotel is perfect! It’s waking distance to many attractions as well as walking distance to Myeongdong. It’s close to King Sejong’s monument, Gyeongbok Palace and the stream.

Booked a three night stay in a king room - was upgraded to a higher floor but not a suite like my last stay around 5 years ago. The facilities have aged we exceptionally well. Lounge served free breakfast and food throughout the day for elite Titanium members. Gym was spacious and well equipped. Everyone was super friendly and courteous. Location central across from City Hall and accessible by public transport. We took the Arex express in from Incheon and it was easy to find the hotel through the underground pedways. Bed was comfortable, shower pressure in the shower was great, everything you’d expect in a high-end hotel. Planning our next stay already!
