Fascinating, enchanting, and of biblical proportions, the Negev Desert is the epitome of desert landscapes. It is on this boundless horizon that Six Senses Shaharut resort and spa in Israel nestles into a dramatic cliff, at one with the almost-supernatural panorama, where sunsets meld into the orange dunes to become an inky sky scattered with stardust. Suites and villas offer uninterrupted desert panoramas and are complete with a private swimming pool for your ultimate hideaway. Your GEM is on hand to make every activity (or inactivity) a reality.

The resort is very beautiful and secluded, and it provides a real sense of peace and quiet. The spa facilities are of a very high standard, and the instructors are excellent. Unfortunately, the experience is let down by the small details. For example, I ordered a cheese platter with a greeting card as a surprise for my partner, but when we arrived, it was not in the room. Even after I called the reception to report the issue, it took them a long time to get back to me and acknowledge that the mistake was theirs, and even then they said it would take quite a while for it to be delivered. Only after I became upset did they offer compensation. There was a similar incident at the restaurant. After waiting about fifteen minutes without anyone approaching my wife and me, we went to the staff ourselves. When I asked why no one had come to us earlier, the only response was that the place was very busy and there was nothing they could do, instead of offering an apology. Compensation was later offered during the meal. There was another incident in which friends ordered room service for my wife and me and asked to include a greeting. When the food arrived, we were told it was from the hotel, and there was no card included. Only after we returned home and our friends asked about it did we realize that the order was actually from them. Considering the price one pays for a place like this, I would expect a much higher level of service. It is a shame that issues like these detract from what could otherwise be an excellent experience.

There is little attention to detail in this supposedly luxury hotel with prices very much to match. Service levels are very low and many staff, while nice people and willing, are basically very young and inexperienced. They should simply rebrand the hotel, take the prices down a lot, and get rid of their pretensions. When I was staying, there was a large corporate event taking place - so presumably they are having problems to fill the place. It is in theory a stunning location, but candidly not that beautiful. The infrastructure is also lacking with the pool area being far too small and badly designed, plus it's quite a sprawling complex with limited restaurant options. This made the whole experience uncomfortable and not even very pleasant. I heard several complaints from other guests - quite sad such as a young couple on honeymoon waiting hours for basic room service.

An architecture gem nestled in the desert. The design and facilities are beautiful. Seven senses. All the rest… is a different story. Very amateur service. Super expensive food which was ok at its best. Very limited options and nothing special. Especially for its price. No free activities. Nothing is complimentary. No management visible throughout our stay. No personalized service. Feels like it’s an holiday inn express service in a six senses facility. Over charged me at checkout, which I spotted a few days after leaving. Tips were added to my bills without my consent. Overall a big miss. I hope they will get thier act together soon as this place has a huge potential. No it’s not worth the money. At all.

A Perfect Desert Getaway – Pure Paradise! From the moment we stepped into the hotel, we knew we were about to experience something truly unique. The serenity, the magical desert atmosphere, and the design – where every single detail tells a story – are simply mesmerizing. Every object, every corner, has been carefully chosen with thought and love, and you can feel it everywhere. And the food? A fine-dining chef’s restaurant at the very highest level in Israel! Each dish is a work of art – a perfect fusion of local flavors and world-class culinary techniques. Every bite made us pause, just to appreciate the perfection. The service is unmatched – the staff is warm, attentive, and always one step ahead, anticipating our needs before we even voiced them. You truly feel like the only guest in the hotel, receiving personalized and heartfelt care. This hotel is not just a place to stay – it’s an unforgettable experience. A rare blend of luxury, nature, and genuine hospitality in the heart of the desert. Without a doubt – we will be back!

The most stunning views along side a gorgeous HEATED & pristine pool with a massive hot tub. Beautiful hikes, sunsets & vistas 360 degrees around the property. We loved the food, especially the breakfasts which are fit for royalty. The head chef will curate any kind of food preferences you have. He was so eager to please us and all the staff are the same way. Think boutique version of the Bresheet hotel!
