Fairmont Peace Hotel

Our 14-day stay in a riverside suite at the iconic Fairmont Peace Hotel was truly unforgettable. The location was superb, especially for our first trip to China and Shanghai. Just steps from Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street and directly accessible via Metro Lines 2 and 10 (East Nanjing Road station), exploring the city was effortless and convenient. A highlight was the private tour of the hotel's Peace Museum and rooftop terrace, led by our guide, Tina. The museum's fascinating collection of historical artifacts brought the hotel's legendary past to life, and the rooftop offered breathtaking 270-degree views over the Bund and river. In an incredible gesture full of thoughtful little touches, after escorting us back to our suite door following the tour, Tina returned just 10 minutes later with a beautifully framed family photo—printed and presented as a keepsake. The speed and care behind this surprise were amazing. The team went above and beyond for my birthday as well , organizing a delightful surprise with a pre-recorded video of personalized birthday wishes from staff, a lovely birthday cake, fresh flowers, and even a special gift handcrafted by the master chef. These heartfelt details made the celebration truly special and memorable. The service throughout was outstanding. For instance, the front desk efficiently assisted with medical arrangements when our daughter developed rashes (medical centre/ hospital is 6 mins walk) and later, when we ordered room service for her, the in-room dining team proactively reminded us of her dietary requirements—ensuring everything was perfectly tailored without us having to repeat ourselves. Their genuine enthusiasm shone in every interaction. Housekeepers kept our rooms impeccably tidy daily, adapting to our preferences over time for a personalized experience. Heartfelt thanks to the exceptional staff who made us feel so at home: Terrance (guest relations), Lily (front desk, who followed up multiple times on our daughter's recovery), Alexander (concierge, attentive from day one), Tina (our wonderful tour guide), Scott, and in the lounge area, Mallory, Melody, Kevin, and Lance—all warm, professional, and dedicated. The Fairmont Peace Hotel is the truly a Shanghai experience on its own . We highly recommend it and can't wait to return!

Booked this hotel to celebrate NYE in Shanghai, though no fireworks n no drone but yet the hotel itself gave our family a different experience four our family holiday, starting from check in, room quality, and the top notch service from lvl 9 fairmont gold lounge, special thanks for the team ( Max, Scott, Lance, Kevin, Audrey, Evanta) that provide our little family with warm and best hospitality.

Everything about this hotel is as close to perfect as I have found The location at the corner of Nanjing road and the bund is great for shopping. Spending time in the evening being part of the crowd gathering to see the lights of Pudong and then escape to the peace and quite of the gold floor for a drink and snack is a great way to spend an evening. The rooms are large with everything expected from a five star hotel, bathroom is big with more than enough space for two people to get ready in the morning or have a relaxing soak in the huge bath tub at night. The Jasmine Lounge restaurant has more than enough selection, on this stay i had breakfast 9 mornings and tried something new every day. I wanted a special dinner and Terence suggested Dragon Phoenix and I am glad he did, the gold floor staff took the time to go through the menu with me ahead of my reservation and suggest some of there favorite dishes. Two highlights of the meal Truffle oil noodles as well as Deep fried black carp. The staff are amazing. Terence greeting me by name as I entered the hotel to check in and through out my stay making sure everything was going well. Remembering my previous stay and taking time to talk about the Formula 1 race that I had been there to attend. Hebe touring me through the hotel seeing some areas of the hotel most people don't see including roof top photos of the bund and Pudong she later framed and delivered to the room with a card. The tour really should not be missed Shanghai and The Fairmont Peace are a very special place for me, so much so that I have incorporated it into a tattoo. I can't change my tattoo, please keep the hotel awesome. I'll keep coming back

Anna 打扫房间干净整洁，主动主动添加茶水，咖啡，洗漱用品等，把房间，厕所，写字台，客厅等打扫的干净整洁，为客人在和平饭店入住带来了很好的体验。Anna did a great job cleaning the room, adding water, supplies and making the stay a memorable one.

Fairmont Peace Hotel, located at the heart of the Bund has the classical Art Deco 1930’s vibe. Rooms have the classic style but very modern. We stayed at a double queen room with very big bath. Rooms are quite pricey but worth the stay. It comes with a hotel tour with a 3PM english tour with Hebe Zhang, she was very friendly and accommodating.
