Most amazing experience! We loved staying there. The team led by Hebe gave us a wonderful tour of the museum. Lily our wonderful front desk manager had given some great tips for our places to eat and coffee. She and her team showcased exemplary service and had made hand-drawn cartoons as a special birthday wishes! We LOVED our stay!

Our family members are so comfortable to stay in this historical hotel. The decoration of the lobby is fantastic. The room is very tidy and clean. The museum guide Robin can let you understand more than 97 years history about this hotel. The explanation is very great. 😊 also he provided sufficient information about the city of Shanghai. We were introduced more friends to stay in this hotel next time.

Very warm and Comfortable hotel, especially the guest service. from Checking to stay three nights in this histrionic hotel. The location is very convenient for the guests. The English tour is very professional from guide Robin, his explanation is very logic significantly. Thanks a lot for this great team.

Exceptional stay room 250 - service with heart and soul I stayed at the Fairmont Peace Hotel Shanghai recently and it was one of those rare hotel experiences where everything genuinely comes together. Hardware wise i dont have to elaborate - please study the history or visit the museum. Check-in was seamless and efficient, with clear and prompt communication even before arrival. From airport to my room - seamless The coordination and ground staff immediately stood out—not only professional, but warm, engaging, and full of personality. It never felt scripted. I had Fairmont Gold access, and the Gold Lounge quickly became my favourite part of the stay. It truly feels like a little paradise: calm, elegant, and impeccably run. The staff there are outstanding—attentive without hovering, genuinely caring, and always anticipating needs. Food offerings throughout the day were delicious and well thought out, making it easy to relax there between outings. Breakfast at the Jasmine Lounge was another highlight. The surprise longevity noodles were a lovely and memorable touch, and the breakfast team was warm, efficient, and welcoming even during busy periods. Housekeeping deserves special mention—thorough, generous with amenities, and extremely diligent. The room was always beautifully maintained, which made returning after a long day very comforting. The concierge team was, quite honestly, the most helpful I have ever encountered at any hotel. Requests were handled quickly, thoughtfully, and with excellent local knowledge, which made navigating Shanghai much easier. A heartfelt thank you to Marjory, Kevin, Lance, Jun, Max, and many others whose service made this stay so special, as well as the Jasmine Lounge breakfast team. This stay has left me with a lifetime memory. For anyone considering Fairmont Gold in Shanghai, I would highly recommend it—it elevates the entire experience. Tip for travellers: If possible, opt for Fairmont Gold access—it is well worth it for the lounge, service, and overall sense of calm

The grandeur of the Grand old dame It was our first visit to Shanghai and upon reading the recommendations on social media, we decided to give Fairmont Peace Hotel a go. Location right across the legendary Shanghai Bund, the building that houses the Fairmont Peace Hotel is itself a part of Shanghai’s and China’s rich history. The hotel also has a direct access to the Nanjing walking street. We booked a one-bedroom suite and were given Room 518. Upon entering the room, we were impressed by its splendor, the heavy-looking furniture and everything that spells opulence. The room also comes with a walk-through wardrobe, long bath, rain shower inside a separate shower cubicle, 2 wash basins and a heated toilet seat with bidet. The only flaw with the room is its lack of a view. We were offered a higher category suite at a special price and that suite overlooks the bund which we politely declined. The hotel is also one of the most generous Accor property when it comes to its welcome amenities. The Gold Lounge is helmed by a dedicated team headed by Kevin Gu and Ms Marjory Zhou. I would like to thank Kevin’s for allowing my daughter to use his personal mobile number so that she could order delivery for her bubble tea. Kevin doesn’t need to share his personal number but because he is so nice, he allowed my daughter to trouble him. Thank you, Kevin! In conclusion, Fairmont Peace Hotel in Shanghai has both the hardware and heartware. Should anyone asks me to recommend a hotel in Shanghai, this is my one and only recommendation. Kudos to the team!
