Vacation in Shanghai
Overall we have good experience in Hyatt on the bund , breakfast is very good with varieties of Asians and western cuisine My only concern is lack of sitting in the main lounge (main floor checkin area ) Overall , we are pleased with the service Overall staff are ready to help and able to communicate in English better than expected

Horrible experience, would never go back
Rooms were too old and needed some renovations. Changed two rooms but both had one side of bathroom sink clogged/smelled. Shower drain semi clogged and doesn't drain fast enough so be prepared to have your feet soaked in dirty water. Worst of all, front desk did NOT honor the rate I booked online at initially. They tried to convert to local currency then convert back to usd, and it's a completely different number. I said I had to report that as a fraud to credit card company, and had to spend an hour to reason with them on day of checkout. Overall dirty rooms with average service and potentially a random rate against you. Highly recommend against it. If you want the view just book another hotel in the same area.

Great place to be
Nice amenities, clean rooms with a great view and very helpful staff. Excellent location within a short drive distance from most businesses and tourist attractions.

Stunning view
Overall the stay was according to our expectations. We had a very smooth check in experience and we were able to check in without any waiting time. Late check out request was also granted on the spot. The room (pearl tower room) was worth it. you should ask for the east tower as you can see with this room category the pearl tower as well as the bund. The room was spacious and clean. The only surprise was the smell. It smelled like someone had smoked in it before. Not the most pleasant smell but since we were out often it did not bother us to much. The amenities were fine. We booked it for 2 adults and 1 child but the overall set up was just for two. Overall we would return to the hotel due to the view.

Amazing views
The service in this hotel was really great, from greeting at reception to checking out. The room was big with a huge bathroom. The bed and pilloes were very comfortable. The view from my room was spectacular. There was a huge choice of exvellent food at breakfast. A great hotel that I will return to.
