Decent stay
I did enjoy my stay here. Room was very nice with comfortable bed. Clean and spacious. A short walk to the Bund, however around 15 min walk to nearest Metro station. The Vue bar views are spectacular, however I felt the service was hit and miss. At times they gave table service, other times I was ignored and had to order at the bar. Not a huge deal but slightly confusing. The staff in the spa/swimming pool reception areas didn’t speak English well at all, which is not ideal for such a large hotel with tourists. Overall I enjoyed my stay however improvements could be made.

Great hotel with awesome views of the Bund and rooms & staff!
Upon checking in early, Fay Mao welcomed us by giving us an upgraded room with a great view of the Bund and river! Exceptionally nice room, super shower and bath facilities, clean, comfortable! Staff and Fay were terrific!! The buffet dinner had huge selection too! Will come back again if returning to Shanghai!

simply fantastic
we had a room with a view of the Bund, and the room was splendid. A big bed, soft carpets, a luxurious Atmosphäre from A to Z. the biggest plus was and is its splendid breakfast.

Views of the Bund!
Great views of the Bund! We had a high floor 31st - and the Club was great if this is included for you. Complimentary breakfast and also in the evenings, drinks and snacks. The atmosphere more intimate and great feeling. We could walk to the Bund in 10 minutes, and Nanjin road in 12 minutes - very convenient. It is not a waterfront property but if you get a high floor or the sections that has a Bund view - then it is great.

Foldable Chairs in a Grand Hyatt.. Seriously?
Shocked to see foldable garden chairs and tables in a Grand Hyatt premise. Notwithstanding the room was themed “Camping Room”, but to be charged Grand Hyatt rates only to be sitting in a creaking foldable chair is not my idea of what the Grand Hyatt guests’ touch point experience should be. Perhaps if I’m checking into a Caption by Hyatt premise, I would be half expecting such experience. But it definitely won’t be Grand Hyatt rates that I’ll be paying if that’s the case.
