Reviews for Park Hyatt Shanghai

Excellent hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

It lives up to its park Hyatt name. Love the staff and service they offer. The room is spacious, clean and well designed. If you’re lucky to get the bund view, you’ll love it. The hotel is a bit old now. But it’s still a beauty in its own way. Luxury is personal:)

Very beautiful, dark, house of mirrors...

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

The Park Hyatt starts at floor 79, so it can have incredible views (when the air is clear). It also is prone to popping/creaking sounds, as all buildings of this size encounter - if you are a light sleeper, this might be disturbing. The rooms are spacious, elegantly decorated, full of mirrors and incredibly dark - I had to use my phone flashlight just to see the thermostat setting. Thankfully, they provide a moveable makeup mirror as the bathroom is entirely too dark for applying makeup. There is plenty of storage space - more than in my flat in London. The hairdryer could be higher-powered. The breakfast buffet has an extensive array of Western & Eastern option, with plenty of things made to order. The spa is certainly not the cheapest option in Shanghai, but the massage I had was excellent - she was able to quickly identify knots in my shoulders and effectively target them. I had no problem communicating in English. I wish they had a spa menu in the rooms. The staff is very easy to reach and communicate with, and happy to try and help with anything.

Yunjing

Park Salon has good ambience and food with a healthy mix of buffet style meals. The wine champagne is good value for money. As well as Miranda manager has good service and expertise. yunjing is value for money because of the Miranda experience.

Room is just average

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

We paid so much and room is just average. The staff weren't friendly, especially the one who was just standing in front of the lift, he was just standing there without smiling or saying good morning / good afternoon, he was just standing there and staring at us, makes us feel uncomfortable, whenever we ask something he's just not friendly to us and giving us an attitude.
