Where the ancient squarely meets the modern, and western reality blends with eastern fantasy, China is an enchanting land offering among the most vibrant enclaves on earth. While it's easy to lose yourself in its and fascinating history, the country's contemporary face is equally enthralling. Located along the famed Huangpu River, Pudong Shangri-La lives up to its luxury reputation in personalized service, modern amenities, the city's most spacious guestrooms, and breathtaking views of Shanghai's legendary waterfront. Brilliant examples of French and British architecture remain in the old French Concession. For glimpses of what the country was like thousands of years ago, visit the Old Chinese City. At The Shanghai Museum, the bronze collection is reputedly the best in the world.

A heartfelt thank you to Kenny Ooi (Assistant Front Desk Manager) and Sean (Director of Rooms) at Pudong Shangri-La for their truly exceptional and attentive service—your warm hospitality, thoughtful gestures, and consistent efforts to go above and beyond made our stay in Shanghai incredibly special and memorable, and we will always choose to stay here whenever we return.

It's always great to visit this hotel. You feel very well looked after right from check-in. All in all, a very good hotel that I would always recommend.

The river view is definitely the most important thing you wanna stay at this hotel! The breakfast has unbelievable options for various needs and flavors. The room service is excellent and super fast. Not very close to the subway station but it’s fine.

Shangri-la is one of my first choice when I travel out of town. Particularlly, in Shanghai, Pudong Shangri-la hotel is the best place I like to stay. When this hotel completed its upgrade decoration, I had been here as the first batch guest with my fellow partners to participate our partners conference in summer time many years ago. The holistic hardware and software including services are always whorthwhile to be trusted from my eye.

A lovely hotel with great views of the Bund and Pudong. We had a bit of an issue with the hot water in our room and the management moved us to another room and repeatedly asked how our stay was going and treated us to a dinner at the restaurant for the inconvenience. I could feel that they really cared and wanted to make sure their clients had a good experience. Our room had incredible views. The breakfast was massive (as vegetarians, we had enough choice) and the executive lounge had a good selection of drinks and food. A word of advice on the location- there’s plenty to choose from near the hotel in terms of restaurants, shopping etc. but it doesn’t have the vibe of Nanjing Road. So, it depends on what you want. We were happy to be in the Pudong side and go visit the other side a couple of times.
