Home to the majestic Angkor Wat temples, Siem Reap is the cultural capital of Cambodia. When staying here, it is only fitting to choose a sanctuary as stylish and serene as the temples themselves. At Amansara, the intimacy of just 24 suites—many with their own private pools—is paired with superb service and an uncompromising dedication to design. Formerly the guest villa of King Norodom Sihanouk, this exquisite private garden compound offers the inviting ambiance of a gracious home, where fellow guests socialize like old friends in the Dining Room or at the pools.

We had a wonderful stay at Amansara, made even more memorable with a complimentary upgrade to a pool suite. From thoughtful touches like having my jacket cleaned overnight, to the genuine care shown when my husband felt unwell on the Tonle Sap boat tour — thank you, Phaneth, for your kindness — we truly felt looked after. Our guide, Buntham, was excellent and even captured some of our favourite candid photos at Angkor Wat. At breakfast, Ramorn surprised me with Noum Kong after a casual chat about my love for donuts, complete with stories of how locals enjoy them in the fields — such a special touch. The highlight was the heartfelt birthday surprise for my husband, and we’re also grateful to Guicle and Chanthoeun for their warm hospitality. Thank you, Amansara, for turning little moments into lasting memories.

Amansara was our first Aman visit and it left us in complete awe. From the time they pick you up at airport, the experience is personal, caring and attentive. The staff at Aman is well trained and goes out of their way to make sure the stay is comfortable. It felt like the word NO did not exist here as our every request was catered to and they went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful time. GM MJ is approachable and always available. I especially want to callout the F&B Head Mr Rakesh and Chef Satkar as they made our dining experiences unforgettable. We were amazed by the variety, flavors and thanks to them, we got great Indian food in Siem Reap. Additionally, the care and attention that everyone in the dining area showed significantly enhanced our stay. We did the Angkor, biking and Floating village tours through the hotel and Yoko was a knowledgeable guide whose experience and passion really came through. The Spa facilities are world class and our son did kickboxing classes in the gym which were well organized and fun. Overall, this was an experience of a lifetime and we can’t wait to visit our next Aman property.

Outstanding service and quality in this hotel. The hotel does an exceptional job of making everyone feel special. They also do a great job in coordinating all the trips and itineraries with the best guides and recommendations you could hope for. Such a great hotel!

We stayed for a few nights in March and we enjoyed all the moments we spent at Amansara. This was our best Aman experience by quite a margin. We loved everything about the hotel. First the staff is amazing. We had the best possible service throughout our stay with our room being refreshed every time we were out. Second, the temple visits were perfectly organized so that we could visit peacefully the temples. The guide provided by the hotel was also truly outstanding. Third, the activities proposed by the hotel, like the Tonle Sap cruise or the jeep excursion, are very well organized. The Tonle Sap cruise is a must do. One of the best experiences in our life (of course everybody has different taste). The organization was fantastic, the food really good, and we could arrange ahead of time the type of wine we would like to have on our private boat. Fourth we found the food to be good at the hotel, much better in fact than in other Aman properties. Food at dinner was of high quality. Breakfast was amazing, generally organized after the temple visits (we had a light breakfast before). It is definitely worth spending 3 to 4 full days as there is so much to see close to the hotel.

Everything about this hotel is special. The GM, MJ and his staff treat you as a special guest and the suites are beautifully appointed. The Location is a tranquil respite and despite its small number of rooms it has all one can ask for including a lap pool. The food in the restaurant is varied and high quality and the chefs will accommodate your needs. Definitely a wonderful experience.
