A truly beautiful hotel and location. The staff could not have been more helpful and attentive. The rooms are large and well appointed. The courtyard dinning for lunch was a great way to relax and enjoy good food. Great riverside walks to museums and parks and night life.

This superb hotel sets itself apart from all the rest with it's timeless charm and historical significance. We have just experienced the best week of our life staying at this iconic luxurious hotel. We were thoroughly spoilt in every aspect of our stay - especially by the whole team at the Straits Club Lounge which we highly recommend. The Concierge team were also excellent and went above and beyond their call of duty. We cannot wait to return and thank the Management for this memorable and very special experience. You know that you are in a good hotel when they are listening to what you say. A few days after returning home I received the usual email asking for my opinion of the stay. I usually ignore these unless the stay was really good - and this stay was exceptional. But more than that, when I sent the review I received a thank you from the hotel by someone that had actually read my review. They were listening! The river view room was fantastic, everything worked perfectly and the bathroom beautiful (with a Japanese washlet toilet that greeted you when you walked in). The staff were very attentive and the F&B great. The decision to stay here came after spending a night in a less than inspiring hotel nearby from which we checked out early. The stay made us happy and that’s as good as it gets!

Made our 25th wedding anniversary truly special .A big shout out to the Straits Club staff , who made us feel special everytime we visited . And of course Sugu who helped us with our luggage , getting us a taxi and also engaged us with lively conversation while we waited for it !

Great location. Classic architecture. Wonderful history. Beautiful pool. Wide and delicious breakfast selection. Excellent service. Warren at the front desk was extremely professional and helpful. Everyone at the hotel was! Will definitely be back!
