False, pretentious and waste of money

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

Don't be fooled by the beautiful flowers and luscious landscape. it is a waste of money. Over priced and the service does not align with the price tag. The rooms are small. The people who work there are unprofessional and need to be unskilled in etiquette and service. The pool was so dirty that guests were cleaning it. There are other hotels in Sorrento... The Spa was a waste of money. The lady started to massage my young daughter who was six years old and I was telling her that she is a child but due to language barriers she continued to proceed and then charged me full price. I was astonished. I consented to my daughter having a massage as she was 15 years old but didn't feel that my 6 year old daughter needed the service. Be mindful of the appearance of the place as it is a facade. There are other hotels in the area. Avoid the false advertising.

Magical Vacation

Beyond the breathtaking, spectacular beauty of this resort, you will find truly outstanding service and kindness from the staff that you will never experience anywhere else. We were treated with the upmost kindness and responsiveness. The staff doted on my grandson as if he were a celebrity and were exceptionally compassionate to our needs given the challenges of traveling with a baby. This hotel is one that you can only dream about.

Wonderful, historic hotel!

My mom and I had such a lovely trip here. It’s a gorgeous hotel and grounds, only topped by the caliber of its generous and wonderful staff. Giuseppe made sure our whole stay, up until our final dinner and actual goodbyes, was special. Ivan took us on a tour of the gardens and down to the dock/beach and couldn’t have been sweeter. Everyone at reception greeted our multitude of questions and requests with smiles and great answers. The restaurant staff were excellent and fun, plus the food was delicious. It’s such a relaxing, beautiful, classy place - yet very warm and inviting. We’ll definitely be back.

Grand Hotel Cocumella Review

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about grand Hotel Cocumella! My husband and I recently took a trip to the Amalfi Coast to get married in Sorrento before honeymooning in Positano. When planning our elopement, we quickly knew Hotel Cocumella was our dream venue as it had incredible views, an unbeatable location, and beautiful property. The manager, Michele, helped us arrange the details of our elopement ceremony. As planning a ceremony abroad can feel daunting, we had many questions and probably called the hotel too often. However, Michele always responded to our inquiries with patience, and he went out of his way during the hotel's busiest season to coordinate the details of our ceremony. He found us a florist, a violinist, and arranged a private dinner for us. Hotel Cocumella's serene and intimate environment provided the perfect space for our big day! Our stay at Hotel Cocumella succeeded our expectations. The gardens, suites, and every piece of the hotel are absolutely breathtaking. The staff is welcoming, intentional, and kind. We were sad our stay wasn't longer, but we'll definitely visit again soon. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Sorrento!

Lovely spot

Unparalleled service, always with a smile and never a problem. Just spent 4 wonderful days with my friends at this gem of a hotel. It is a stunningly beautiful hotel, steeped in history, with a wonderfully Italian authentic feel, and lovely modern touches. Rooms were lovely, restaurants were excellent, and facilities were great. The choices of swimming either in the most beautifully situated pool surrounded by citrus fruit trees or in the bay surrounded by islands of Capri and the Vesuvius volcano. Giuseppe on concierge organised everything without a hitch, the reception staff are all smiles and effortless efficiency, gennaro on the bar was hilarious fun, all the waiters were charming. I’m very much looking forward to returning.
