About the Hotel

From silvery sands for sunset strolls, to entire walls opening onto the great outdoors, luxury is in the details at Anse Chastanet. The estate encompasses 600 lush tropical acres bordering two soft sand beaches. Not only do you get a World Heritage Site anchored by the twin peaks on land, the resort’s two crystal-clear bays are part of a designated marine reserve protecting miles of colorful coral reefs teeming with tropical fish. A dozen rooms are tucked in behind the coconut palms that line the beach and the remainder tiptoe up a flower decked hillside. To make the most of the panoramic views and the refreshing tradewinds octagonal whitewashed cottages come with wraparound flower draped balconies and louvered windows. ANSE CHASTANET is St. Lucia's only resort property with the iconic view of both the Piti and Gros Piton mountains floating upon the Caribbean Sea. The location of the property is unsurpassed, a private estate of 600 lush tropical acres bordering two soft-sand Caribbean beaches with pristine coral reefs just offshore. The resort property includes the historical plantation of Anse Mamin and Emerald Estate where the resort grows its own organic produce.

Anse Chastenet - wonderful week

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

My husband and I just spent a most relaxing week at Anse Chastenet. Situated on a steep hillside in the jungle, overlooking the sea, the views are dramatic and memorable. Every architectural detail at Anse evokes authenticity and regional expression. We loved finding the rhythm of the place; mornings spent viewing the Pitons from our three-sided open-air room; wonderful fruits at breakfast in the ‘Treehouse’; finding the perfect thatched roof hut on the beach; swimming ocean laps and snorkeling along the colorful reefs; lunch beachside; walking to a second more remote beach ‘Mamin’; swimming in clear water with sandy bottom; then climbing the over 300 steps back to the room (our daily climb). Beyond the physical beauty of the resort; the staff was exceptional. Always a friendly smile and helpful attitude; always grateful with extreme pride in their island traditions. Since I was on a restricted diet; I want to mention the sincere care and attentiveness from Chefs Frank and Ruben among others. Each meal the chefs visited me table side to make sure I was taken care of. Chef Ruben made me a fish broth with fish and soft vegetables; while Chef Frank introduced me to ‘Dasheen’, a soft starchy root. All was delicious. The servers were also so caring about my dietary needs. Another noteworthy shoutout to the exceptional musicians that played nightly. Talented, passionate artists played their hearts out in an intimate lounge. We fell in love with Anse Chastenet.

Great snorkeling at Anse Chastenet

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

My wife and I are snorkelers, and we came here to celebrate my 75th birthday. They have a great snorkeling reef at the north end of Anse Chastenet Beach. Over in the turtle grass by the reef, we watched large sea turtles every day. We also were amazed to see flying gunnards and gold spotted "snake"eels, which are pretty rare creatures. So the snorkeling was outstanding. We stayed in a beachside room because we wanted more beach access. And, yes, we did the steps to breakfast every day. (There are about 100 steps up the hill to breakfast.) The food and selection was excellent. The staff was the best. Ownership should be very proud of the staff. We stayed on the FAP plan and paid extra for wine and bar drinks. For us, this saved some money instead of going the all inclusive route. We spent almost every day on the beach -- and one half day sailing with Captain Kerwin on the Suzi Q sailboat. We had a great sail and spent extra time with a pod of 30 or so dolphins that swam and jumped all around the boat. Definitely do this. We can't wait to go back.

We had a lovely relaxing week at Anse Chastanet. The room was large, comfortable and well designed. The service was first class from absolutely everyone we came across. The restaurants were very good and the food was delicious. I went on the plantation walk which was fun and very informative.

We traveled to St. Lucia and stayed at Anse Chasanet - it was wonderful. Our suite, built on a mountain, was completely open yet very private. There were no phones or TVs to distract from the area's true beauty. It truly made our honeymoon more memorable. I would highly recommend Anse Chasanet to all future honeymooners!
