About the Hotel

Stonefield VillaResort’s idyllic location has hosted centuries of visitors – the island’s earliest-known inhabitants, the Arawaks, left a postcard from 350 A.D. in the form of a petroglyph tablet that can still be seen on the resort’s verdant grounds. Stonefield’s 26 acres were also once a cocoa plantation, and today they yield mangoes, breadfruit and other delicacies that supply the onsite organic restaurant. Airy villas are outfitted in indigenous wood and stone, and guests are more likely to encounter a friendly parrot than another guest. Adventure-seekers will find plenty to do, from rainforest hikes and waterfall excursions to coral reef dives in the balmy Caribbean Sea.

Reviews for Stonefield Villa Resort

Great Experience, but bugs are here to stay.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

My husband and I had an awesome time but pack bug spray! We both got a ton of bug bites. I also recommend bringing a travel fan or two, we both run hot and while there is A/C in the villa…some days it just cannot keep up we brought a small fan and our only regret is not being two. Also you are going to see small lizards, beetles, bugs and we even had a tarantula that walked across our patio. This is not to scare you and the resort cannot just get rid of all the bugs … your in a Caribbean jungle…this is just to advise you watch your step. We did call the resort about the tarantula and they sent someone down to move him but just know you HAVE to pack your bug spray and look where you’re stepping. We will be returning and loved our stay but we come from an area where we are not nervous about bugs. But, there are some people who are so they should know.

Wedding

We had our wedding (just the two of us) at the resort & we couldn’t have asked for more. Valna and her staff attended to every need and the views were breathtaking. The resort is quiet and very private—perfect for a quiet couples getaway. Prices are reasonable. Best value on the island. The locally owned resort & friendly staff give a nice community feel. We will be back!

A little piece of paradise!

We are so happy we chose Stonefield Villa Resort. It was exactly what we were looking for - tranquil, intimate, beautiful property and outstanding views of the ocean and Petit Peton. The peace and quiet coupled with the excellent onsite restaurant and available activities can not be beat. With only 17 villas, it was always peaceful and quiet and the landscaping and placement of the villas affords good privacy. The resort is set on a hill, so there are stairs and some steep walks, but not outrageous. Not sure if they knew, but we are beyond middle age and they gave us a perfectly located villa. The bed was very comfortable and linens and sundries provided were excellent. There's a bit of rustic charm to the villas with some understated luxury and excellent service. We found the AC to be a great amenity and loved the private plunge pool with amazing view. We used this every day - what a great way to relax and unwind. The Mango Tree restaurant onsite was consistently excellent for all meals from breakfast through dinner as well as cocktails. Prices are very reasonable and food is high quality and well prepared and presented. It was very nice to have a full breakfast with many options included in the lodging. While not on the beach, the resort offers a free shuttle to a very close beach that has loungers, umbrellas, snorkeling and beach food available. It's a nice day's outing. There are onsite activities offered as well as organized tours for booking. All are very easy to arrange. We chose to rent a car, thinking we would explore the island on our own. Well, we found it more enjoyable, easier and safer to leave the driving and navigating to the experts. There are plenty of options readily available for booking all types of tours, activities and drives. The staff is fantastic, and this is what brought the whole experience together. It's obvious they go to great lengths to make guests comfortable and well cared for. The atmosphere was so friendly and peaceful. No big crowds, no attitudes, no price gauging, just tranquility and enjoyment. It was an overall wonderful experience and we would definitely stay here again.

Heaven on Earth

One of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been. Millions of stars at night. This was a birthday trip for me. We had our own pool. I highly recommend. Hiking the Petit Piton was tough even for an experienced hiker. The food was great. Fresh seafood, steak, lots of fresh fruits and veggies and delicious drinks. We made friends with the staff.
