InterContinental Malta

This was one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve had. We checked out early and requested a refund due to the following: • The room was dirty, with dust and grime throughout. • There was mold inside the air conditioning, making the air unhealthy and the room smell damp. • The hotel is advertised as 5-star, but in reality, it operates more like a hostel—the standard of cleanliness and service was extremely poor. • We were offered a different room, but it was also unacceptable. The hotel promotes newly renovated rooms, but they were old, tired, and clearly not updated. • The only decent swimming pool is on Level 19, but children are not allowed, which is not mentioned in the listing—very misleading for families. • The environment is extremely noisy, making it impossible to relax or sleep. We raised our concerns with the manager, who agreed to issue a refund. Sadly, this hotel did not live up to expectations in any way. I would strongly recommend avoiding this property.

Stayed in many intercontinental’s around the World and I can safely say this is not of intercontinental standard. The staff are very good- Always friendly. Have a junior suite which is ok. They have painted it but left all the old fittings and just painted over them - sorry but you don’t expect this in an allegedly 5 star property (which it is not)

Everything wonderful. Thanks to Malcolm at the concierge, he organized for us a perfect weekend . Breakfast was in the garden and pool at 10 floor was very nice. One of the best hotel in Malta……………………………………………………………………………………………………………….

What fantastic service! Would totally recommend this hotel. Every one working at the hotel was incredibly attentive, polite and very helpful. They made every guest feel that they were valued and welcomed.
