Lashonda was great along with all the other staff. Room was nice. Staff was nice. A good hotel overall that did what they could to make the stay wonderful! I would recommend this hotel thanks to Lashonda. Her customer service truly made the difference and made me think of the hotel in a better way. Extra star because of her service in the early mornings!

This is a very pretty hotel in the central west end. Close to Forest Park w easy walking to other central west end bard/restaurants. There are 2 bars & restaurants at the hotel. Also, there is a movie theater on site. Chase Park Plaza was a nice way to enjoy a quick get away to Saint Louis, MO.

I work for WashU but am based elsewhere, thus have to travel in for work. I have been doing so for a year and every time I'm in St. Louis, I stay at The Chase. This hotel is wonderful; beautiful and luxurious with lovely staff, (and the cinema is an added bonus). The highlight of my visit is when I get to see Caren Clark at the front desk. Of all the staff at The Chase, Caren recognizes me and treats me like family. She is an absolute delight; sweet, considerate and goes out of her way to be helpful. I always look forward to my stay at The Chase once I know Caren will be here. She is a gem in the crown of The Royal Sonesta Chase Park Plaza.

You only get one chance to make a first impression and the Chase Park Plaza failed fabulously. We booked a room solely for the purpose of enjoying the hotel. Imagine our first encounter with hotel personnel being told there would be a $25 charge to check in 25 minutes early. This was my first experience with this fee in 40 years of travel. It is unfortunate that a quite enjoyable stay was otherwise ruined by this hotel policy. More puzzling is the $50 credit the hotel extended after I expressed by poor review in their follow up e-mail questionnaire. The shortsightedness of the management of the Chase Park Plaza is disconcerting. For a mere 25 minutes, they lost $50 and a customer.

AVOID Horrible experience! First off I tried to check in at 3:50 pm when they say check in is at 4pm. For the honor of checking in 10 minutes early they wanted to charge me $25! Seriously??? Then at 11am they started calling wanting to charge me for a late check out - all they care about is generating extra income by these insane charges. I am used to check in being 3pm and check out at noon - especially at a central city hotel. The hotel is tired and not at all up to date. I am sure 50 years ago it was the talk of the town - now it's a relic, and not even a good one! There are many far better choices in St. Louis that deliver a far better product without the ridiculous attempts to gouge you!
