We stayed at the Saint Paul Hotel in order to attend an opening night of the opera. It was directly across the street from the Ordway, so it was super convenient to attend the opera. It was a nice hotel and we had a wonderful meal at the Grille downstairs.

The room was comfortable and the beds were absolutely great. The valet service is courteous and convenient. The food (steaks) was very delicious and the wait staff were friendly and helpful.

We stayed in a Landmark King Suite on the 10th floor for three nights while in town visiting family. The views over Rice Park were fantastic, from the beautiful St. Paul Public Library, the Mississippi, the old Schmidts Brewery, to the James J. Hill House, to the Cathedral, to the Landmark Center, to the partial view of the State Capitol. The room was lovely, with a very comfy bed and premium amenities, but it is a bit tight for the amount of furniture in the room. Need to be careful not to stub your toe or hit a shin when moving around. The bathroom was not up to 21st Century standards, with an old bathtub and a toilet that must hold three gallons of water per flush, but everything was spotlessly clean and in good working order, with a solid Speakman shower head with excellent water pressure and plenty of hot water. I was impressed with the elevators: only two, but very fast, never had to wait more than a few seconds. And of course the St. Paul Grill is fabulous. We had been there several times before, so knew what to expect, and ot didn't disappoint, whether for a family luncheon in the dining room or drinks in the bar. As the younger man in the elevator said to me, "Kinda bougie." Yes, definitely bougie, but in the very best sense if you can appreciate it, as we do.

We stayed here for my daughter's wedding. It's such a beautiful place and the service is great. We were able to use a separate room to get ready for the wedding - it was perfect!
