Reviews for The Saint Paul Hotel
No A-C even when the room is 78 degrees.
Older hotel so they only make the switch from heat to air conditioning once a year apparently. It happened to be 80 degrees outside in mid-April, but no A-C in the guest rooms. Their "solution" was to open the window and they brought me a small Amazon fan. It cooled down from 78 in my room to 76 overnight (even though it was probably 60 outside). Absolutely miserable. Impossible to sleep. It might be fine in the winter or summer, but I would never again stay here when the weather is unpredictable

Too hot and no AC
They don’t have AC option available in April. It is 80 degrees in my room and no AC. On asking they say all hotels only have heating or cooling turned on and they have cooling turned off at the moment. I couldn’t sleep all of last night too since it was hot and I am struggling in my room. They say only option is to open the window or they can provide a fan. Recommend staying at a different hotel if the temperature is going to be hot in April.

Great place!
A great place to stay! The entire staff from house keeping to servers to front desk and valet - everyone was so friendly, kind and helpful. Excellent rooms as well. Walkable to a lot of things downtown St. Paul too!

Wonderful first class hotel in downtown St. Paul. The staff is world class, friendly, and helpful. Food great. Location great. Nice walkable arts nearby.

Love staying at the St Paul Hotel
Beautiful historic hotel close to restaurants, Grand Casino Event Center, River Centre and the Ordway. We ate breakfast at Drake's Landing and our food was delicious and our server was very helpful with recommendations.
