I attended a restorative retreat at Skamania which was absolutely delightful. My stay was magical. The location, upkeep and cozy atmosphere made my stay enjoyable.

The hotel was amazing, great atmosphere and accommodations! The view was absolutely breathtaking with the snowy mountains as a backdrop. I recommend paying a bit extra for the Riverview rooms. The property as a whole has so much to offer for adults and kids alike. The only reason for 4 stars was the food. The cascade dining room and lounge are very pricey with mediocre food. I would recommend visiting some place local for dinner and then getting drinks in the hotels lounge afterwards!

Stayed in the Alpine tree house with my wife and our two daughters. Specifically we were in the Candy Flower unit. A lot of people in reviews mention the trains and while yes, we did hear them they were never to the point of being so loud we couldn't sleep. We've stayed at this resort a few times and we always loved it. Our particular tree house is set far enough back that it wasn't an issue at all and never woke any of us up. This was the Candy Flower unit (Alpine) The room itself was amazing. My girls absolutely loved the day bed and thought it was incredibly comfortable and cool. The main bed was also very comfortable. The private fire pit was also amazing. Walking around the other units their fire pits were located at the very bottom near where you parked, under or close to the bottom of where the tree house is. Ours however was right down the 5 stairs from the front door so it was just more convenient. For cons, note this is pure nitpick and doesn't impact score. Cons: TV was pretty old. I know we were there to relax but my girls love to unwind at the end of the day with Disney or Netflix. It not being a smart TV meant I couldn't connect my phone nor any apps. The deck was great but they could probably sweep up all the pine cones and branches that fall when windy... Again this is nitpicky stuff. More lighting around the fire pit. At night the few lights out there don't really light up well. This actually made it hard to see when we went out at night and my girls nearly tripped on the rock circle around the fire pit. So better lightning such as fairy lights would make better ambiance but also improve guest safety. Overall we would absolutely stay again. My girls already want to come back for their birthdays. The pool and hot tubs are also amazing, especially the outdoor hottub.

Although I visited Skamania Lodge for business, it was a relaxing experience! We stayed in the Wallflower treehouse and enjoyed the beautiful views and warm fireplace!

Don't rent any of the cabins, tents or villa. We had 11 freight trains in one night come by tooting their horn and waking up the kids. It was in the winter and the leaves were off the trees, so it was louder
