Opulent. Gorgeous. Refined. and got our bags back from the airlines!
Opulent. Gorgeous. Refined. Marble bath w/ gold fixtures and lighting options in the rooms were simply lovely. But what made our trip was the attention to getting our lost bags back for us. We never check bags, and didn’t this time either but they took our carry-ons plane-side and tagged them due to not enough room on the plane. The bags ended up in another country but Volkan at AJWA Sultanahmet and his team helped us navigate this. They tagged the bags with another couple’s name. It was crazy. We are so grateful for the help of our hotel. They coordinated an amazing walking tour for us with Hakan. Fantastic. Could not have had a better experience. We had a wonderful stay with our 12yr old son, first time in Istanbul. A gorgeous hotel in the perfect location for seeing all the top sights. Wonderful in-house restaurant with stunning views across the city. Fabulous friendly and professional staff. You receive a very personal service here.

Beautiful hotel with exceptional service.
Our stay at Ajwa was fantastic. They have an excellent and professional service. They are well situated just a seven minute walk from Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. We loved the room we got and the breakfast. All the staff were superb and could cater to all our needs. They picked us up from the airport when we arrived and drove us there when we left. We took a seven hour tour around the greater city and our driver Muhammed H. Kocaman was great. Everyone at the hotel was excellent. Unfortunately I did not get all their names but we would like to thank the Bell captain and the bellteam for their outstanding service.

My favorite hotel in Istanbul in my 40 years coming here
April 2025 I stayed at the AJWA. I bought a beautiful gold ring in the jewelry store in the lobby. I lost in during a flight home from Vienna. I loved the AJWA so much there was no question I wanted to return. Aytac, my favorite bellman, opened my taxi door from the airport and said “You’re back!” Before I checked in I went right to the jewelry store. No ring. Volkan, the concierge, said they are one of a kind. He sent me to the main jewelry store. The clerk checked back all records but couldn’t find my order. Disappointed I went sight seeing. Hours later returning to the hotel Volkan showed me not only the order but a picture of the ring!! He called the manager of the hotel and jewelry store and they are making the ring while I am staying here. Not only do I like Volkan and Aytac but every detail of the furnishings in special. Great food too.
