Capella Sydney

From the moment of arrival to departure, a flawless experience. The valet had the baggage delivered, removed and stored for me in the blink of an eye. Front desk and waiting staff were exceptionally polite, polished and accommodating. The housekeepers were top notch, polite and friendly. Rooms spotless with all the creature comforts. It was very relaxing. I enjoyed the heritage feel of the building with the benefit of modern and elegant rooms. I stayed several nights at the beginning and end of my Australia itinerary. Missed the soaker tub on my second stay. The pool is glorious. The only thing I struggled with was the menu at Aperture. The food was excellent but somehow the day I was there, I wanted something simpler. Breakfast was a highlight and the coffee was always good. I look forward to my next trip to Sydney.

Wanted to organise a special day for my Mum for mother's day. It was a truly beautiful experience sitting under the kinetic flowers in the Aperture. Mum was so chuffed and had the loveliest time. The service was impeccable and the food was truly beautiful. Mum is now 85, and every mother's day counts. Thanks Capella for making this one so memorable.

Amazing hotel. It is a five star experience, which means it's not cheap. But every detail is taken care of, from the flowering ceiling art in the bar to the well appointed rooms to the excellent breakfasts. We were upgraded to a one bedroom suite on a high floor. The room was large, very stylish and comfortable. The closets and the bathroom were very large and the toilet featured a Toto washlet. The bed was very comfortable. We can't say enough about the incredible service. Halfway through our stay, the washlet stopped working. The hotel staff were on it quickly and when it couldn't be fixed, they immediately moved us to another room, helping us any way they could to make the move effortless. The staff at the restaurants were friendly and helpful (Sanjeev, at breakfast, made sure we had whatever we needed and was a great source of information for local, Nepalese restaurants). The only quibble - our room(s) looked across at an office building and we could clearly see what was going on in the offices. The question then is, can they see what we're doing in the room? Unclear, but be forewarned.

What an absolutely gorgeous hotel with amazing professional staff. I felt cared for and truly enjoyed my stay. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The pastries are made fresh! the bed was probably the most comfortable bed I’ve ever had. Water pressure was great. The room was just overall comfortable.
