From arrival to departure my guest experience was exemplary. Special mention must go to Vanessa the Concierge who is considerate, thoughtful and entirely professional on every level. As the first point of contact the Concierge department sets the tone for this hotel. I cannot fault any of the staff. From room service to front desk to the restaurants, all placed importance on service with a smile. We had a several day stay and thoroughly enjoyed all the amenities. Others had booked for us - a standard room through a third-party, and we had a standard room with a courtyard view. Byredo toiletries were a luxury touch and the bed was extremely comfy. While not unpleasant, next time I will upgrade my room to take in the views of the beautiful Double Bay Area. The area is a great place to be based. I usually stay in the CBD, but Double Bay has the ferry and buses and the hotel has a very efficient valet parking. Easily reached from the airport and simple to navigate around Sydney Double Bay is a viable alternative. Highly recommended.

My husband and I were in Sydney for a family event (funeral) and the staff could do have been more accomodating. Service was excellent and due unforeseen circumstances we had to stay another night which was done with no issue and breakfast was included. The area is amazing and lots of nice eating places to chose from. If I had one complaint it was that at breakfast we could not get staff to take our coffee order and had to find a staff member to take order (this was three mornings in a row) however this would not deter us and I can highly recommend this hotel.

Walking into the intercontinental double bay hotel we were greeted by incredibly friendly and professional staff members. The check in process was smooth and error free due to the lovely charlotte at front office! She was awesome and made our stay. Secondly the room was beautiful with serene veiws out onto the double bay waterfront. We then checked out and went up to the rooftop bar, we were left in awe after being presented with impeccable hospitality from Miguel the bartender. He was personable, funny and presented himself to a high five star standard. We then had an amazing interaction with Elisa the manager on duty she was polite informative and made sure our stay was everything we hoped for it to be. Thank you double bay team !

Very run down and dated rooms. The couch is so old and just gross. The carpet is dirty. No kettle. For the price you pay it’s really not worth it. We cancelled the rest of our stay because it was unpleasant to be there. Don’t go there if you have a family. Breakfast was amazing though.

Spent 9 nights in this lovely hotel in March. While the hotel was wonderful, the staff was even better. Wish I could remember all of their names. First was Vanessa Lenihan who warmly greeted us at the hotel entrance and guided us with good directions and great ideas! Very friendly and hospitable. Next was AURORA a lovely young Italian woman, from Milan. She took great care of us everyday at breakfast. So friendly and helpful. I hope the hotel will foster her future. She is a real asset. See you next March!!!
