Great experience in Sydney
Great hotel - close walking distance to everything. Rooms are nice and they have a very nice fitness center. Employees are very friendly and service oriented. Strongly recommend

Excellent Location
The location of the Intercontinental Sydney is ideal - walking distance to the Opera House and Botanic Garden. Our room overlooked the harbour and was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was very good, but it took a long time to get a cup of coffee. We went for a cocktail at the Aster Bar on the 31st floor. The view is spectacular but be aware that reservations are required and there's a $40 per person minimum. The pool is on the 31st floor too, but unfortunately it's indoors and smells heavily of chlorine - we left after 2 minutes. Overall, the hotel is very nice, but I can't give it 5 stars.

intercontinental stay in February
excellent service - great experience as always . cannot fault the intercontinental the breakfast spread and options were fantastic and catered for everyone . the omelettes however were very bland and tasted watery ..

We adore everything about this hotel!
The last few years when we come to Sydney from our home in Abu Dhabi we stay at the Intercontinental right in the middle of Sydney. We always try to book a suite with Club Lounge access and every time we arrive, we are welcomed with genuine kindness and then our stay ( mostly 6 days) always turns into an incredible experience. The Intercontinental is a true gem and being so central , many places of importance such as the Opera House, Art Gallery of NSW, excellent restaurants, parks and shopping, are easy to reach on foot. My husband and I always love coming to the Intercontinental in Sydney and also use the great location to catch up with friends for lunches and dinners or a drink at the Rocks. Staff outstanding, well educated and always finding that special food or drink or treat for you. Lovely, everything!
