Pro’s-The location is fantastic, no denying that, unfortunately for us, that’s where the experience stopped. Admittedly the lacklustre entrance when we arrived was partly due to ongoing renovations to the dining area. The day we checked out, the boards hiding the building work were taken down as the restaurant was near to reopening and you do get a great view of the harbour. Staff member Arvee Palmdale was extremely helpful when we asked about a particular area we were thinking of visiting. Also the male concierge was helpful. Good insulation from harbour noise’s but a great atmosphere outside on the balcony, watching ‘river life’. Con’s- No bellboy to assist with luggage from taxi Bland furnishings in room, could it be more grey and drab? Grubby grouting in the bathroom should be replaced, no excuse for dirty appearance. If you’re looking for fluffy luxury bath towels, you won’t find them here. You will have the thinnest toilet paper too. Bathroom amenities when used were not replenished. Leaving the room one evening in a rush, I had caught a thread on some clothing and left it where it fell on the carpet, despite the room being serviced the next morning, it was evident that the carpet hadn’t been hoovered. If you request anything from housekeeping, be prepared to wait, wait and wait and then have to make another request for the same thing. The most extraordinary breakfast arrangement, the menu states, you can have max 1 each of a main, side, coffee and juice, never been in an advertised 5 star hotel that restricted the breakfast in that way! Don’t sit at the round tables next to the window, disgustingly sticky, they needed a good clean. We stayed in a 5 star hotel in Brisbane, the difference between that hotel and this Pullman couldn’t be further apart. Overall, if you can lower your expectations and aren’t expecting a 5 star hotel/ apartment, you won’t be disappointed.

2 Garden view rooms booked 2 nights 21st to 23rd November.608 & 611 Reception staff were very kind held our luggage till check in. Also dealing with the payments efficiently. Our grand daughter and daughter were upgraded to a brilliant Harbour view room which staff gave great attention to treating her to lovely chocolates and card with 21st birthday wishes Bath towels shaped into swans on the bed and red rose petals. My husband and I loved our garden view room. Furnishings in both rooms were very calming and relaxing. We had everything we needed in the kitchen and appliances worked perfectly. Congratulations and best wishes to everyone

We really appreciated what you get here. We had a water view suite looking over the ferries at the quay and the bridge. The hotel pictures do not really do it justice. It is a surprisingly large apartment with tasteful, modern, clean decor, a sizeable balcony facing the view, very good bed. A very nice place to spend time in and so convenient to the many ferries, the Opera House, park, and restaurants. Overall decent value, and I would definitely stay here again. The single negative was that they have a strange obsession with trying to limit how much coffee you drink. Breakfast makes it clear only one coffee is included, and the coffee in our room was not replaced when the room was cleaned. One time we asked for more coffee pods in the room, and after two hours, they brought a single one. Very strange, and penny-wise & pound foolish in my view. Doesn’t change my overall impression of what you get here.

We had a deluxe garden view and we are so glad we chose the garden view. It was away from all the harbour and noise. we could sit on our balcony in the late afternoon and enjoy a drink and platter overlooking the gardens. Plus as the garden view face east we got wonderful morning sun (dried my washing so well). Never once did we see anyone on the harbour balconies as they had sun streaming in the afternoon and would just be too hot. The apartment was clean and fresh. We loved the location. Breakfast was great - especially being able to order from menu, rather than having a stoggy buffet. Only gripe is the bed had a bit too much partner disturbance for us. And the dishwasher and laundry powder was not topped up for our 4 night stay. The room was so so quiet and we slept well.

I stayed for 3 nights including for Sydney Marathon which was incredibly busy but this hotel was incredible. From my first interaction to check out, I can't fault anything. The rooms are lovely, fresh, and the views! Staff are amazing and you can't beat the location with entry to Macquarie Street and straight out on to Circular Quay. Standout staff are Kim at reception but the real star is David who was incredibly lovely, so helpful, and generally just a top bloke. Can't wait to return.
