Shangri-La Hotel Sydney

This hotel has truly become my favorite place to stay in Sydney. I make it a point to always book a reservation whenever I’m in town because every visit is an incredible experience. From the moment you walk through the doors, you're greeted with an amazing energy that instantly makes you feel at home. The staff are exceptionally professional and friendly, always attentive to your needs. I particularly enjoy starting my mornings with two extra hot lattes before heading upstairs for breakfast. Speaking of breakfast, the variety of food available is impressive — there are so many options that deciding what to eat can be quite a challenge! The breakfast is beautifully organized into different sections, offering a diverse range of choices to suit all tastes. I highly recommend securing a window seat so you can enjoy the breathtaking view while dining. The rooms are immaculate, modern, and thoughtfully designed. The bathrooms feature luxurious marble finishes, and all the amenities you could need are provided, making your stay both comfortable and convenient. The bar downstairs (entrance) make amazing cocktails and light meals.

Booked the suite life package which included 4 pm checkout as this suited our flight schedule. The terms and conditions say subject to availability at the time of reservation. In hindsight who would know what this means (intentionally sneaky?) and it should have raised alarm bells with me. The hotel interprets this as subject to availability at the time of checkout hence the usual checkout time of 11 am can be enforced. BEWARE of the lack of transparency and misleading wording. I had to negotiate for a few hours longer which was a nasty surprise. Hotel location is excellent, club lounge great for breakfast, but hot food at happy hour lacked flavour, I am guessing it is frozen food.Lounge was extremely busy on a Sunday night, so staff struggled to keep the lounge and buffet from looking trashed and depleted. Alcohol selection at happy hour was good, noting no champagne just a sparkling wine.Middle of the day fruit, pastry, soft drink is not monitored so not always fully available.A great club lounge does not put food out and just hope for the best. Overall, considering the price paid the suite was large with a marina view, and represented reasonable value. Staff were pleasant. Club lounge has potential but is nothing special.

The hotel is famous for its beautiful view, and good services, we spent our happiest time in hotel, and a bonus of wonderful view from my room. it is an unforgettable memory in Sydney, just want to say thank you to Shangrila Team, especially thanks to check in staff David. He is very polite, good smile and warm greetings. Just let me feel we are back home !

This is was one of the best experiences of my life. A beautiful hotel in a fantastic location with amazing views. From the moment we arrived John the fantastic check in host, welcomed us and made our stay special. He laid on a special treat for my husband’s big birthday. Service was impeccable everywhere. The Blu bar, cafe mix etc were excellent. Hopefully we’ll be back again.
