Shangri-La Hotel Sydney

Breath taking views. White glove service. Great location. Super Luxe Service. From the two seater bathtub to the stunning views from the room and the penthouse lounge EVERYTHING was PERFECT. NOTE Sydney has some hills and this hotel in on the top of one, which is why you get those awesome views. If you have mobility issues you will need a car to access. Two short steep blocks up the hill from circular key on one side, and the Rocks on the other.

Shangri-la Sydney exceeded all expectations. The room was beautiful with stunning views of the Harbor Bridge, the famed Opera House, all the way to where the Sydney Harbor meets the Pacific Ocean. My room was spacious and well-appointed, as was the ensuite. Yes, the hotel is up a hill, from the Rocks but trust me, the view is worth the climb! The Horizon Club also featured magnificent views, as well as made-to-order egg dishes. The Club tended to be crowded at peak times, especially in the evening. One guest was pushy and rude, but there is always one in every crowd. The indoor pool was very clean, but it was busy with children at times. The pool was a major reason in choosing this hotel. What was Most Impressive about the Shangri-la Sydney was its service. Every member of its staff was gracious, accommodating, and genuinely interested in satisfying every need, from the housekeeping staff to management. Strongly Recommended.

We stayed for a week and the hotel didn’t disappoint. The location is great, close to the Harbour Bridge and Opera House and just a short walk from Circular Quay and The Rocks where you’ll find many restaurants and bars. We had a great view across the harbour towards the Opera House. The bed was comfortable and the room was well appointed. Would recommend!

Enjoyed the convenience, ambience, and views! It was delightful to have the special package and breakfast in the 14th floor. Service was star especially when greeted. One young Spanish girl was very helpful and provided outstanding service. Thank you for making our staying special!

We had a wonderful few days stay over a holiday weekend in an executive opera house view room. Our early check in was very easy, from the friendly driveway attendants to reception staff, we felt very welcomed. We left our luggage and went to explore the Rocks area and the city. Our room was ready when we returned and the lobby was very crowded because of the holiday weekend guests. There was a queue for the lifts and a bit of a wait. Our room was nice, clean and spacious and we appreciated being able to have 2 suitcases open on a shelf and luggage rack rather than one being on the floor as is usual for most hotels. The bathroom is also very spacious with a walk in shower and a bath tub. There’s a small fridge and Nespresso coffee machine and electric jug. The bed was nice and comfy and housekeeping provided a blanket for us rather than sleeping under the doona. Who does that anyway? Far too hot too often. Our view was ½ city and ½ harbour and opera house and far out to the Sydney Heads beyond. Marvellous! Altitude Restaurant has terrific 180°+ views over the Harbour from east to west. Our special occasion dinner was made extra special by wonderful service from Stella and sommelier, Daniel. Shangri La Sydney is a great hotel with a lovely restaurant and wonderful staff.
