I had an amazing stay at the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay! It was my birthday trip, and the team went above and beyond to make it special. They surprised me with birthday balloons, upgraded me to a beautiful bay-view room, and even moved me to an executive suite on the second night. What impressed me the most was how genuinely warm and welcoming everyone was. Their kindness and thoughtful gestures made me feel truly cared for and at home. Thank you to the wonderful team for turning my birthday trip into such a memorable and heartwarming experience. I can’t wait to come back!

I did a weekend out of town with my wife and 3 other couples. We found the Grand Hyatt and it's staff very welcoming. Beautiful property. We will be back again. Thank you.

When checking in, front desk did not explain my benefits as a globalist member. I had to ask multiple questions to ensure I would receive benefits. Given a room with a dirty bathroom and had to wait over 20 minutes for a new room and did not receive an apology from the staff. Hotel amenities were acceptable but the room was pretty outdated. The beds were comfy though.

Always an amazing location for celebration dinner, with a truly lovely team of FOH staff and talented chefs who make the most out of everything seafood and local sourced ingredients. Also a great place for the famous Florida sunsets and a Sunday brunch as always a great option to stay for the weekend

My stay at the Grand Hyatt Tampa Casitas from September 21–24 was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I’ve ever had — especially considering this was supposed to be a special birthday getaway. Despite having a confirmed reservation, the additional room I paid for was not available the first night, and I didn’t receive a key until after 2 PM the next day. No apology, no explanation, and certainly no compensation for the $200+ nightly rate I paid for a room we couldn’t even use. Once inside, the condition of the casita was unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one under the Hyatt name: • Rusty, poorly patched bathtubs • Ceiling cracks and open patches that looked unsafe • Stained sofa and rug that clearly hadn’t been cleaned • Dust and white residue on furniture showing poor housekeeping • A broken refrigerator and a non-working ice maker — only replaced with a single bucket of ice • The second fridge made loud noises that kept us awake • Only one TV had Chromecast and none were smart TVs as advertised • Housekeeping only made the beds and never actually cleaned • The restaurant was under construction, but the online hours weren’t updated To make things worse, the power went out on our third night, and when I contacted staff for help, Olivia Stollier was extremely rude and dismissive, showing zero empathy while we were left to deal with the heat and discomfort on our own. The check-in process was chaotic and unhelpful, with staff trying to move us to a completely different part of the hotel instead of honoring the Casitas reservation we had paid for. After reporting all of this to management and requesting a refund, my request was denied — proof that this company does not care about their guests’ experience, satisfaction, or comfort. Overall, this stay was worse than a budget motel and absolutely not worth the $1,400+ I paid. The property is outdated, poorly maintained, and misrepresented online. Hyatt should be ashamed to attach their name to this property. If you value your time, money, or peace of mind — avoid the Grand Hyatt Tampa Casitas.
