Not a full service hotel and in need of some updates and a good clean.
Hotel does lack the service you would expect from what is essentially an airport hotel - no food, bar or room service after 10pm. When you are essentially between a free way and bay there is nowhere else to go this is inconvenient. There is not even any snacks or mini bar in the rooms - just 2 small bottles of Aquafina purified water. Rooms and property in general are quite good looking, but that is only on the surface. Spending more time in the room and on the property shows up dirty areas, worn areas and parts that need urgent refurbishment. Very disappointing for such a global brand. Staff were a bit stand offish which is unusual for an American hotel where everyone is normally overly friendly! When you do interact with staff it is a bit unpleasant. Overall thus is an events hotel that lacks any warmth or personality leaving it very bland and forgettable.

A great stay at the Grand Hyatt in Tampa, FL
The Grand Hyatt is a lovely hotel. It is 7 minutes from the Tampa Airport so extremely convenient. The lobby, restaurant and conference facilities are great. The room is clean, spacious, looks new, big windows with good views. Overall, it was an excellent stay!
