Nice property, poor acoustics in ballrooms

Great location walkable to many restaurants and downtown activities. Easy access to the Convention Center and the River Walk. Nice staff and convenient large drive through access for parking or ride share. If you happen to be a speaker at a conference beware the ballrooms have very poor sound quality. The audience can hear fine but the echoes make out very hard for speakers to hear.

Needs management change

Chose the JW Marriott in Tampa to ensure it would be a pleasant stay and a great Night of rest. Not the case, in fact, loud people all throughout the evening doors slamming till almost 6 AM. Called the front desk in the wee hours of the morning for help and no one answered. Very uncomfortable in many ways. They contacted me the next day And asked me how my stay was and I shared it with them. Mallie Holman guest service manager should be reevaluated in her position. I would recommend more training. This is exactly how you drive a business into the ground.

This facility was a little disappointing. They operate a no cash facility, so you cannot get change from the front desk to tip staff. They provide no access to ice, one must call for it and wait until they get around to it. We were provided no access to the rooftop bar because the “locals all converge there” so it was at “capacity.” As a Bonvoy gold member I was not provided an upgrade and my late checkout request was summarily denied. This property provided me with no reason to return. The only bright spot was the valet seemed to be very efficient. Other than that, the Embassy Suites next door is better.

Convenient location near downtown. Hotel is new, beautifully kept, and spotless. Rooms spacious and well appointed. Pool area is a nice retreat. Would definitely stay again.

The property and rooms are beautiful - the people made it unforgettable. At each turn the staff was friendly and helpful and the rooms were so comfortable and quiet. The entire team including the Reception, Concierge, Spa, Beacon and people like Samantha and Mary at Driftlight Steakhouse made the long weekend unforgettable. When an issue surfaced with the shower multiple repairs were needed. A manager followed up to ensure it was fixed and when additional work was needed management went above and beyond given the minimal problem without going into details. Simple steps like what was done builds brand loyalty. People made the difference. The property is centrally located and walking distance to so many places. Overall a wonderful long weekend at the property
