Great performance by Derek Hough

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 9 hours ago

Attended "Symphony of Dance" show with Derek Hough (from "Dancing With the Stars"). This was our first time visiting this location in well over 30 years. Several items of note. First, I wasn't sure what to do with parking. My wife has trouble walking, and I read they had valet parking (which on the web was listed at $50!). Turned out to be $30. They do have multiple garages with free parking. Tip, approach the Casino from Orient Rd. We came up Orient Rd heading north from MLK Blvd. Don't turn into the first parking garage you encounter. Keep going and then turn into the main entrance. Bear to the right (signs will indicate Valet parking) and then look for signs saying "DayValet Parking". Once inside thee facility, the concert/performance hall is on the second floor. There are elevators and escalators available. It's a little tricky to find where to go, so your best bet is to stop and ask one of the casino employees. Everyone we encountered were very pleasant and helpful. The performance hall seats 1,500 people, and is not too large. Half the seats are on the ground floor, and the other half are stadium style. Truthfully the hall is small enough that I think you would have good seating in the back,, cheaper seats. The only seats i would avoid are those close up on the ground floor to the stage, on the far left and far right side, as it looks like your view could be somewhat blocked. We arrived early and had dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe (Ribs and salad). I understand they have multiple restaurants, but we did not check any of them out.

Not worth playing slots here

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 18 hours ago

We stopped going because you cannot win on slots there. 1k will last 30 minutes betting low, and you will be awarded maybe 10 free play if you're lucky. My average bonus win this year after 30 plus trips is like 7 bucks. They are so tight it made us just lose interest. 100 can last me hours at any South Florida casino, but 1 minute here.

Don't waste your money!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

I've been going to Hard Rock Tampa for nearly 20 years and up until the last year or so the blackjack table games were enjoyable and felt fair. But lately it seems that hardly anyone is winning, not just me, and losing right out of the gate. I get that sometimes you can get ahead and then if you keep playing long enough and you'll end up giving it back but this feels very different. It's pretty much straight down every time. Something is definitely off. That's in addition to them getting rid of most of the 3 to 2 blackjack payouts and the minimums mostly starting at $25+. The enjoyment is gone. Don't waste your money!

DO NOT STAY HERE!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

STOP DELETING MY REVIEW!! I was staying at the property with my boyfriend over the past few days. My phone had died, and I briefly left the bar area to use the restroom. When I tried to return, I became lost and could not find my way back. Without my phone, I had no way to contact my boyfriend, and I was completely alone and unable to reach anyone for help. I became terrified. I was already in a state of panic and distress, surrounded by people I did not know and feeling extremely unsafe. I went to the front desk seeking help. My boyfriend later told me that he had already spoken with the front desk and asked them to have me stay there if I came looking for him because he was also worried and actively searching for me. While I was at the front desk, a security employee named Santiago approached me. I initially believed he was there to help, but his approach was extremely aggressive and intimidating. Given the fact that I was already scared, crying, and in a heightened state of fear, his behavior made the situation significantly worse rather than providing assistance. I was crying uncontrollably and clearly distressed, yet Santiago proceeded to remove me from the property and made me leave the premises — alone, without my phone, without my purse, and without any way to contact my boyfriend or anyone else. He then followed me outside as I was leaving. I was a 23-year-old woman who was alone, frightened, and vulnerable. Having a large male security employee remove me from the property under these circumstances was completely unacceptable and, in my opinion, put my safety at risk. SANTIAGO NEEDS TO BE LET GO!
