There are luxury hotels and then there are places that leave an imprint on your heart forever. My stay at The Leela Kovalam belonged firmly to the latter category. Perched beautifully along the cliffs overlooking the Arabian Sea, The property itself is breathtaking. The views are almost therapeutic, the architecture blends elegance with serenity and every corner of the hotel exudes warmth and calm. Whether it was walking through the lush pathways, spending quiet moments overlooking the ocean or simply soaking in the atmosphere of the property, everything felt thoughtfully curated. What truly distinguishes The Leela Kovalam, however, is not just the beauty of the property but the extraordinary people who bring it to life every single day. In all my years of travelling and staying at renowned hotel chains, I have experienced efficiency and professionalism in abundance but what I experienced here went far beyond hospitality and it was genuine affection, care and emotional warmth. The team made us feel less like guests and more like family members returning home. Mr. Ayyappan deserves special mention for the grace, humility and sincerity with which he looked after us throughout our stay. Mr. Ayan, Ms. Reshma, Mr. Sooraj, Chef Rajeev, Chef Somnath, and their respective teams were exceptional in every interaction. Their attention to detail, anticipation of guest needs and heartfelt efforts were simply unparalleled. Nothing ever felt transactional or rehearsed. It all came straight from the heart. The dining experiences were equally memorable. Every meal carried both flavour and soul and the warmth with which it was served elevated it even further. Small gestures throughout the stay left lasting impressions and made us feel genuinely valued. What touched me the most was that the team consistently went beyond service standards to create moments of joy and comfort. It is rare to encounter a hotel where luxury feels so personal and hospitality feels so sincere. I returned from Kovalam with immense gratitude and a very full heart. The Leela Kovalam has set a benchmark for what true hospitality should feel like and I know this is not just a hotel I visited but a place I will keep returning to both emotionally and physically. I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Leela Kovalam. Just as a home becomes warm and welcoming because of its family members, a hotel becomes memorable because of the people who serve and care for its guests. The welcome was with tilak and beautiful garland made of sea shells. I loved the welcome drink - nariyal pani. The check in was quick and smooth. From the moment I entered the property, the view of the ocean was the USP. It made me feel very close to nature. * The room - beautiful with sea facing view. * The food - delicious. I must mention the yummy gol gappas, the samosa chaat, prawns, dal tadka, paneer pakoda. Thank you to Chef Somnath for preparing the special bengali style gol gappas and samosa chaat. * The people - the service at the all day dining, housekeeping staff, beach front, cafe is amazing. * Special thanks to Sheetal, Raju, Sathish, Ritu Many thanks to Mr.Ayyapan and Ms Reshma for making our stay memorable. We had a fantastic experience our yoga session was but demanding and relaxing

Our stay at The Leela Kovalam, A Raviz Hotel was truly an unforgettable experience. Perched right above the breathtaking Kovalam beach, the property offers some of the most scenic and peaceful ocean views we have ever witnessed. Watching the sunset from the cliffs while peacocks wandered around the property made the entire atmosphere feel magical and luxurious at the same time. Location: The location is absolutely exceptional. Being situated atop the beach gives the resort stunning panoramic sea views along with direct beach access. Whether during sunrise, sunset, or even late evenings, the surroundings felt calm, serene, and refreshing. Atmosphere: One of the best parts of the stay was the balance between a lively resort environment and complete peacefulness. There were cultural activities in the evenings which added a beautiful local touch to the experience, while the property itself still maintained a very relaxing and elegant ambience throughout. The entire resort feels vibrant yet never crowded or noisy. Rooms: We stayed in the Club Rooms and they were amazing. The private balcony with the sea view was simply breathtaking. The rooms were spacious, beautifully designed, and equipped with premium amenities including a luxurious bathtub. The ambience inside the room perfectly matched the elegance of the property. The rooms were also very clean and well maintained. One small tip for future guests: it is best to keep the balcony doors shut when not in use, as the humid sea air can cause slight condensation inside the room. Cleanliness & Noise Level: The cleanliness standards throughout the property were excellent. Housekeeping did a wonderful job maintaining both the rooms and common areas. Despite being a large and lively resort, the noise levels were minimal everywhere, making the entire stay feel calm and peaceful. Service & Staff: The hospitality truly reflects why The Leela is considered one of the finest luxury properties. The staff were incredibly warm, respectful, and attentive throughout our stay. A special thanks to Sanjana Ma’am and Gayatri Ma’am for their kindness and professionalism — they genuinely made our experience even more memorable. Amenities & Activities: The resort offers a fantastic range of amenities including three beautiful swimming pools, multiple restaurants, beach access, and activity areas for cricket, basketball, tennis, and more. Every facility was thoughtfully maintained and added to the luxury experience. Food: The food was outstanding. There was a huge variety across cuisines and every meal was rich in taste and quality. The dining experience perfectly complemented the overall luxury and comfort of the stay. Overall, The Leela Kovalam exceeded expectations in every aspect — from the stunning views and luxurious rooms to the exceptional hospitality and peaceful atmosphere. A perfect destination for anyone looking for a relaxing yet memorable luxury getaway.

I had the most relaxing spa experience at Leela Kovalam. Swati is an excellent masseuse who caters to your individual needs and is very skilled at her massage techniques. Highly recommended.
