We had a lovely stay at Bellustar. It was the first hotel we stayed at after arriving in Tokyo. The location and facilities are excellent, and we especially enjoyed the breakfast. That said, communication and service could be improved. We arrived early in the morning and asked about the possibility of early check in, but the hotel was fully booked. The concierge on the ground floor assisted us, though we ended up waiting around 20 minutes while they communicated with the reception. It might have been smoother if we were invited to go up and speak directly with the reception team instead of waiting downstairs. As an GHA Discovery member, I also requested to have my points credited, but it took a while and a few different staff members asked for my membership number at separate times, perhaps a small communication issue, but something that could be streamlined, especially for a five star property. During check out, there was also a small communication issue regarding the breakfast bill. The membership discount had been confirmed during breakfast, but the full amount was reflected at check out, which took a bit of time to sort out. A big thank you to Costas. He was outstanding, very helpful, professional, and one of the few staff who spoke perfect English. His warm service really made our stay more pleasant.

Bellustar Tokyo combines quiet comfort with some of the best views in the city. The hotel sits at the top of Kabukichō Tower — directly above the liveliest part of Shinjuku — yet it feels calm and private once you step inside. We stayed in a suite with a corner living room offering panoramic views in two directions. By day you can see the streets and the Godzilla head below; at night the city glows endlessly beneath you. On a clear morning, Mt. Fuji was visible from the breakfast table — a real highlight of the stay. The suite was spacious and well designed. One bedroom had a walk-in closet, the other a smaller wardrobe. Despite being almost 200 metres above the station, faint train sounds could sometimes be heard, though never intrusive. Service was excellent throughout. The concierge managed to secure an almost impossible sushi omakase reservation and carefully passed on my allergy requirements to the chef. Housekeeping was immaculate, and the laundry service flawless — I had trousers dry-cleaned and pressed, and the result was perfect. In-room dining was consistently good, with breakfasts that stood out for both quality and presentation. We also tried breakfast once at the hotel restaurant. Everything is served à la carte, which isn’t ideal if you’re in a hurry, but that morning the sky was clear and we could see Mt. Fuji right from our table — a memorable view to start the day. Being located atop Kabukichō Tower adds a unique energy; restaurants and entertainment are right below, but the hotel itself remains quiet and refined. The design is sleek, monochrome, and modern — a composed retreat above the city.

Spent 1 night at the Bellustar Hotel the day before we were leaving for home. It's a fairly new luxury hotel in an area I wouldn't feel comfortable walking around at night. We passed more than a few adult entertainment venues on our walk around the hotel. The hotel entrance is not straight-forward and you have to go to the 18th floor to get to reception then take another elevator up to the rooms. The room we had was very comfortable and roomy and the room amenities were luxurious. Lots of staff buzzing around. The floor to ceiling windows would be a problems for those who are afraid of heights

Decided to stay here as in the heart of Shinjuku. stayed in Shibuya first for four nights then thought we would try 4 in Shinjuku. Booked the Studio Premier twin room which just under the suite level. in hindsight we should have done a suite here instead of the Hyatt House Shibuya. This room was almost half the cost vs Hyatt House Shibuya. The hotel sits in a brand new building and actually occupies floors 39-47 of the building with Hotel Groove ( another GHa discovery sister hotel run by Parkroyal Hotels) on floors 17-38. I checked their rates and they were much lower than ours but it is also a lower level hotel in terms of luxury. We were able to check in early due to my GHA Discovery Platinum level. they actually reached out prior to the stay to see when we would be arriving and the room was ready when we checked in. The room overlooks Kabukicho and was very quiet. we did not hear much from our upstairs neighbours in terms of footfalls and nothing from outside. it was very clean and had all luxury amenities you expect from a Pan Pacific Hotel. They also provided pajamas and robes which they almost changed every day. The only bad thing was the washroom was dark due to less lighting and there is also only one elevator from the street level to the lobby. The hotel also has a lounge on the top floor for use by all guests. they serve some snacks and coffee and soft drinks throughput the day and a selection of wine after 5 pm. the times we were there it was empty except for staff. Did not eat at any of their restaurants as there is too much choice in Shinjuku. The hotel is right on the edge of Kabukicho and steps from the square. Steps from the hotel and your are right in the action of Shinjuku. There is also a Starbucks in the building. Overall this hotel checks all the boxes in terms of cleanliness and location. Housekeeping was great and the sleep quality was excellent. The only bad thing was their pillows were not great. This will definitely become our stay of choice when we are in Tokyo due to location and overall service.
