Conrad Tokyo

Stayed at this hotel for a night for the first time after Covid-19, but stayed many times before Covid, so my expectations were quite high. Booked the basic king size city view room with HH points. Upon arrival at 2pm we were informed that we can take one-level upgrade to the basic king size room with bay view or wait until 4pm for upgrade into executive floor room (hotel was at this point selling many suites, none was offered). Took the first one, as waiting was not an option. Asked for late check out, as this is one of HH Diamond perks, but was only offered until 1pm with 30min stay in the lounge (?!), but after some debate (during which they tries to sell me 3pm check out for 26.000 yen) they offered 2pm complimentary check out. Room was ok, but toilet very basic, run-down and in urgent need of replacement. Afternoon tea and evening spread in exec lounge on floor 37 very basic and large disappointment, I fondly remember times when this exec lounge was one of the very best in whole Hilton portfolio. Not any more. Same goes for breakfast in Cerise, which is fine, but far cry from the lush and memorable one from few years ago. All in all, ok stay, but for the price tag this is very watered down version of Conrad Tokyo from pre-covid times.

Even though it’s not in the heart of Ginza, you will enjoy a quiet 10 minute walk towards the famous shopping area. Transportation is accessible since subway is just located underneath the hotel. Arrived very early and was welcomed by a breakfast surprise by Guest Relations Peter and Izumi in my room. As I needed to extend my stay, Nova and especially Aisha made sure that everything is taken care of and that I’ll be comfortable. Nadia of Reservations, Ayaka, Emily, Yamazaki and Yukiko of Front Office team were as dependable as always with their work ethic. As I’ve said, my favorite Concierge did not disappoint with Rise, Koji, Ando, Shuhei, Seki, Tomoko and Hanako with delivering all that I asked with great efficiency. Very thankful to Taniguchi, Uchiyama, Yamano and Inoue from Guest Services who will always welcome me back and making me feel safe after a long night out. Their laundry service is also top notch thanks to Rena Okuzumi who made sure all my jackets are very much like brand new after the service. Fukiko, Rena, Miyuki, Jaya, Princess and everyone from Executive Lounge has made this stay a quiet one even when busy. The hotel is getting busy as expected but they will make sure to give you hospitality like no other. This Conrad has exceeded expectations thru out my many stays with them and definitely defines the famous Hilton Guest Experience.

Not centrally located in Ginza, so if you're okay for lengthy walks, this is a good option. But the surrounding area is very quiet - beware The King Room is very modern, very comfortable, and well appointed. Very good! The buffet breakfast is excellent. But it can get crowded. Best to go early Service is excellent. Would I return? Only if the better located hotels in Ginza are not full

Another amazing stay on Conrad Tokyo! The staff is always excellent and very detail oriented. Everytime we left or entered the hotel they were so welcoming and kind! Vincent was great during check in and housekeeping always did an amazing job with turn down and daily service! We stayed in one of the corner bay view suites and it’s really spectacular! Previous stay was in a regular bay view suite and I really enjoy the corner more! Layout was very nice with the living room and bedroom parallel and the bathroom behind the bedroom! Everything in the room was well maintained and clean. Breakfast was also very good with many options and the gym (24/7) was very good as well! We really enjoyed our time here and will definitely be back next time in Tokyo!

Conrad Tokyo lived up to expectations despite the glowing reviews. The review is for a 3 night stay. It was a very busy period and the hotel was at full capacity so no room upgrades were available as Gold members. However I had booked a bay view room and very much enjoyed the room I paid for. Rooms are spacious and the view very nice. Housekeeping was commendable and a daily turnover service and a set of pajamas is offered. We also enjoyed the daily hotel breakfast (complimentary as part of membership), service was excellent and the coffee and the selection of a la carte and buffet items were good. Our arrival and departure flight times were inconvenient relative to hotel check in and check out times but the hotel was extremely accommodating and allowed us to use the spa as weary travellers to freshen up. The surrounding area is very quiet at night and on the weekends, and is conveniently connected by underground and overpass to Shimbashi JR and Shiodome (Uedo line). The taxi ride from Haneda is about 5000-7500 yen (not peak) and takes 15-30 minutes. We also took the taxi to Shinjuku off peak and it also takes 15-30 minutes with a cost of 3000-4000 yen. I would definitely choose this hotel for my next visit to Tokyo.
