I spent ten nights at the Conrad Tokyo with my wife and son during our 30th Anniversary trip (ten nights in Tokyo, then five in Osaka/Kyoto). I booked on points — excellent value. From the start, the service made this hotel feel truly special. Almost everyone we interacted with spoke excellent English (I’d say ~95%), which really eased my nerves about the language barrier. The location was great — very metro-friendly and worked perfectly as our base for all our Tokyo day trips. I’m Diamond status and was upgraded to a suite for our anniversary. We were checked in via the Executive Lounge until our room was ready — and this is where we first met Peter from Guest Relations. He was energetic, charming, and incredibly helpful. He is honestly one of the main reasons we would return to this Conrad. Our upgraded suite was spacious and very comfortable. I loved the Mojave Ghost amenities, and the heated bathroom floors were a treat. They provided a complimentary rollaway for my son — a big savings. Beds were a bit firmer than we’re used to, but that seems common in Japan. We never saw housekeeping, yet the room was always spotless — like magic. They also surprised us with an anniversary cake, and Peter sent a personal note that I kept as a memento. The Executive Lounge was excellent — Peter makes a great highball. We enjoyed stopping in daily for snacks and drinks. Breakfast was very good as well — Arielle Yates greeted us every morning by name, and she made breakfast something to look forward to. The concierge also helped with directions and several dinner reservations, which we appreciated since we don’t speak Japanese. We have Korea and Italy trips already planned — but we are seriously talking about planning a return just to see Peter instead. That’s how special this stay was.

We have stayed here several times over past few years, so we knew what to expect (excellent service, comfort, cleanliness, and value). Booked 3 nts, have Hilton AMEX Aspire, used free night and points. Concierge efficiently merged separate res's. Location is outside of busy areas of Tokyo, but view of Tokyo Bay, if can get it, are excellent, and location (close to trains, incl Metro Oedo line) makes it easy to get around Tokyo. Shiodome Station is a covered/underground, and relatively short walk, and contains many shops and restaurants, including good ramen shops(concierge has a "Hilton list"). Conrad is also a relatively early(3rd?) stop of Limousine Bus from Narita. Hilton Diamond status allowed us to check in/out in Lounge. Check in was efficient, although it was a busy time in Lounge. We were offered drinks and snacks while waiting (<15 min) in the Lounge. Upgraded(no charge presumably due to status and AMEX booking) from basic room to Executive Floor, which was very convenient for Lounge access. Diamond status includes Lounge access, with breakfast either in Lounge or Cerise buffet, both excellent venues. Evening bites also available with Lounge access, with heavy hors d'oeuvres good for light dinner if don't want to go out, or tired after touring Tokyo all day. All rooms are modern, spacious (by Tokyo, even US, standards) and very clean(by any standard), even basic room. As in all Hiltons these days, must request (cheerfully acknowledged in Japan, unlike US) daily sheets changing. Room tips left on the bed were refused (moved to the bedside table). 2 bottles of water in room daily, but didn't really need, as water/ soft drinks/ juice available in Lounge when open. Staff service is uniformly excellent, with every effort to help, when possible. Concierge services in Lounge especially helpful (directions, ride arrangement, meal res, etc). Checkout possible by TV, but we like in-person, and Lounge checkout is as good as it gets (no line, comfortable chairs, drinks and snacks). We were offered free late checkout until 1 pm. We were moving to another hotel (unfortunately) to meet friends, so we were offered to hang out in the lounge after checkout, if we wanted (not common in many hotels). Overall, another excellent, comfortable, enjoyable, and stress-free stay.

Wonderful hospitality by all of the staff. The Executive Lounge was great. Excellent location and views. The sushi at Kazahana in the hotel was fantastic and we loved the sushi chef!

We spent 5 nights at the hotel as a family, celebrating a special occasion, in 2 separate rooms. The hotel is located next to Shiodome, which is a 10-minute stroll in a lovely underpass from Shimbashi station, which means you can take a 1-hour train from Narita airport to Shimbashi and walk to the hotel quite easily. When entering the hotel's building, you are met with a lovely red sculpture and staff direct you to the elevators, which take you to the hotel's lobby on the 28th floor. We arrived around noon, but since our rooms were not ready, we had to wait almost 4 hours in the Club Lounge on the 37th floor. Finally, around 4PM, our rooms were ready. We booked regular rooms using points and as Diamond were upgraded to a regular room with a view (3405) and to a suite with a view (3433). The regular room was lovely with a view to the nearby Hamarikyu garden. It featured 2 soft beds, a TV, a large safe, a minibar, a long couch stretched along the window, a desk and chair and a small coffee table. The large bathroom featured a big tub, 2 sinks, a shower with a powerful water pressure and a simple Toto toilet. During the first day of our stay, there were no hot water in the shower, until a technician came and took care of that. The bathroom amenities were the lovely Mojave Ghost by Byredo. The suite was surprisingly small, with a living room with a couch, TV, table and guest's toilets. The bedroom was somehow cramped with a king size bed, a chaise longue, a TV, a large safe and a minibar. There was a large walk-in closet that could be accessed from the living room and the bathroom. The bathroom featured 2 sinks, a shower and bath tub, a simple Toto toilet and a small TV. There was also a nice note and cake from the hotel's management for our special occasion. The hotel featured a lovely pool and also a nice Onsen. We had 4 out of 5 of our breakfasts at Cerise, on the 28th floor, and they were truly disappointing. I've written a separate review about it. The Club Lounge was disappointing, as it was always cramped and full. During the weekend, you actually need to reserve a time slot for the evening cocktails, but it was very busy during weekdays, too. The lounge is spread across 2 sides of the building, one facing the gardens and bay and the other facing the nearby buildings. It featured all day cold and hot drinks and some nuts. Breakfast at the lounge was minimal and could be compared to a classic continental one. Afternoon tea between 3PM and 5PM featured tiny cookies and sandwiches. But the biggest disappointment came during the evening cocktails. Scheduled between 6PM and 8PM, it was a constant battle to get near the small buffet to grab something to eat, as the place was literally swarming with other guests, trying to do the same. The small buffet featured 2-3 hot dishes, some salads and local treats. There was also some fruits, alcohol, but no cocktails. Everything was self service. Most of the staff at the lounge seemed constantly stressed and overwhelmed by the amount of guests. The only one that made us feel really comfortable was Peter. Bottom line - this is an OK hotel, but we never managed to get the real Conrad experience, due to most of the services not fitting the amount of guests and some serious understaffing at breakfast and at the Club lounge. Such a high-end hotel (with high prices to match) should've done much better.
