The Okura Tokyo

In my opinion, this is the best hotel in Tokyo. The rooms are incredibly well-designed: every switch and control is so logically and beautifully placed. I've stayed at this hotel perhaps more than half a dozen times and on the recent visit, I had a room with an eastern exposure: the sunrise was gorgeous and the new high-rise office towers on this side were very beautiful at night. The service at this hotel is definitely a 10 out of 10. Finally, the breakfast buffet is great. This is definitely my go-to hotel when I visit Tokyo.

Loved staying at this hotel! So many friendly staff members! The rooms were large comfortable and quiet! Most large hotels in large cities are not quiet in my opinion, this was perfection. Could not hear other patrons, could not hear staff. Amazing! We were on a high floor so our view was amazing! The breakfast buffet is so worth it! So delicious and a great way to start your day in Tokyo. Their in room Nescafé coffee is great for a pick me up. Only downside is probably proximity to the train, it’s not bad, 10 minutes. As a New Yorker I’m used to that but might be far for some people. And it is in a rich neighborhood so nearby dining is pricey. But easy to take the train anywhere in Tokyo to explore!

We stayed at The Okura for three nights and had an incredible experience! From the moment we stepped in, the staff greeted us with kindness. We booked a room at the Heritage Wing and wow, it was seriously the most spacious room I've ever been in (especially for a city like Tokyo where rooms tend to be quite tight). It came with a living area, a gigantic comfortable bed, a split shower/bathroom and even a steam sauna. The room was incredibly well stocked with a free mini bar, Dyson hair dryer, pajamas, and so much more. We found the location to be convenient -- it's in a quieter area however, very accessible to dining / sights / other neighborhoods via walking or the metro. Breakfast had a great variety of Western and Japanese options. We got drinks at the members only bar which were tasty as well. We also booked a massage at the spa and it was seriously the most zen experience. We hope to be back at The Okura soon!

We stayed at The Okura Tokyo and really enjoyed our time here. The rooms were spacious, very clean, and comfortable by Tokyo standards, with great views across the city — bathrooms with big windows were a nice touch too. Service throughout the hotel was warm and attentive, from check-in to housekeeping and concierge, and staff made an effort to accommodate our requests. Breakfast had a good variety of options and was consistently mentioned by other guests as one of the highlights. Facilities like the pool, spa/fitness area, and bar added to a relaxed stay, and the hotel feels calm and elegant without being fussy. The location is convenient for exploring Tokyo and close to transport links, though it’s a bit quieter than some busier districts. Overall, a solid 5-star stay — very comfortable rooms, excellent service, and a pleasant atmosphere. Would stay again.

Just stayed at the Okura Tokyo in Toranomon and we will not stay anywhere else again when visiting Tokyo. I was absolutely blown away by firstly the style of this hotel. The pristine mid century lobby was something out of a Wes Anderson movie. Every time we wound walk through it we would remark how beautiful it was - we were taken back in time in a way. We stayed in the Heritage wing and could not have had better service or a better room. Small touches such as the welcome tea/snack, a box of small gifts, turn down service, complementary j-beauty products etc made the stay feel special. The room was comfortable and pristinely clean. Having visited Tokyo several times, I loved the location outside of the busy central Tokyo areas; it felt quiet and calm, yet only a short subway or taxi ride away from those spots when we wanted to visit. Cannot wait to return.
