One of the city’s most luxurious hotels superbly located in Yurakucho, opposite the Imperial Palace and Hibiya Park, The Peninsula Tokyo offers commanding views of the Japanese capital skyline. The Hotel is within minutes' walk of the shopping capital of Ginza and Shinbashi. What sets the Peninsula Tokyo apart from other international luxury hotels is its focus on creating a modern Japanese ambience, whereas other hotels adopt a standard international décor. The Peninsula Tokyo’s interior and exterior is contemporary, yet echoes Japan’s rich heritage and culture in its design. The Peninsula Tokyo pampers its guests with a spa center and a fitness club with a swimming pool and sun loungers, overlooking the Imperial Palace Gardens. Ryokan-inspired rooms are simple and streamlined, designed with the idea of "techno-ergonomic-user-friendly", so every control and switch is located precisely where it is required so its use is intuitive and effortless. The granite and cherry wood bathrooms with large soaking tubs will make your stay a pleasant relax.

The hotel somehow lacks ambience and does not feel Peninsular. Even though we were in a premier suite or something, the view of the royal garden is interrupted by some building in the front. The breakfast is not up to standard. This is not quite acceptable.

I live the Peninsula Tokyo. And it’s all about the room and the service. Location is amazing right by the Imperial Gardens. But the room is HUGE. A walk in closet with a table and chair etc for make up. A big big bathroom and the bedroom itself has a sitting area. And that’s a standard room. But the best part of this hotel is the laundry - anytime of day, you can put clothes in the laundry bag, pop it in the valet box and press a button. 4 hours later, it’s back. No paper to fill out. And that’s the standard service. Enough said. But to say a little more, the staff are UNBELIEVABLE. Everyone. We had a hotel car for a day or meetings - the green Toyota Century , what a car - and the driver was amazing. Anyway, I love it here.

Paying 7000$ per night for my suite which I prepaid for 3 weeks. Concierge service is unusable. More than 1 hour to reply to any request and 90% of the time they cannot manage to get any booking anywhere or organize anything that i am asking them to do. It has been torture dealing with them and extremely unacceptable for a hotel that is supposed to be so expensive and luxurious.

Great hotel commensurate with Peninsula brand. Beautifully appointed, comfortable and spacious rooms. Outstanding service. Perfect location. Great breakfast. A calming experience in a hyper active city.

We went to the bar to get a good view, having enjoyed the Pen in Hong Kong where we stayed a few years ago. We were met by a lady full of cold, sneezing who dumped us at the bar, although there were plenty of seats available around the corner with window views. However it had been raining all day, so we had waterproof coats on, so don’t think the lady that greeted us thought we were Peninsular clientele, so we didn’t get a good seat, although plenty were available. English understandably wasn’t easily spoken so we just sat where we were put. I ordered a glass of champagne which just exploded all over the glass, so had to wipe it dry. We realised all around us people were offered bar snacks which we were not. Another man in a raincoat was also shoved in a corner. They should realise that not everyone who owns a Rolex, has diamond rings and drives an Aston Martin will dress up for a 5pm glass of wine in a bar on a rainy day. If people are in the Pen bar, they can afford it and should be treated more respectfully. My advice is go somewhere else where people treat you appropriately, the hotel we are staying at in Tokyo has much better views, so don’t bother with this snobby place.
