Reviews for The Ritz-Carlton, Tokyo

Never disappoints!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

Aaaand, the Ritz Carlton Tokyo does not disappoint again. I’ve stayed here like 10x and as lame as it is to say, I adore that it hasn’t changed. Of course they continue to modernize and enhance things as life modernizes but the consistency of service, food, room quality and ease of business and life, I can’t find a complaint. I’m an executive mom who can’t be without her husband and child and this hotel supports that. Thank you and see you again in a couple of months!

It is a great hotel great service One downside was at their restaurants and breakfast not much of a vegetarian or vegan options. Rooms are lovely and beds are comfortable. We did use the gym but not the poor or the spa The view of Tokyo was great from our room.

Ritz Carlton Tokyo Excellence !

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

There are SO many hotels to choose from in Tokyo that deciding which one to stay in can drive you crazy, even if you are working with a travel agent that helps you make a decision. But I am hoping my review will help you to decide to STAY AT THE RITZ CARLTON TOKYO ... from check-in to check-out and everything in between it all was PERFECTION!!!! Since it was our first time in Tokyo and we did not know what to expect at the airport, I arranged for the Ritz to pick us up at Haneda Airport and it was SO EASY and worth every penny! They had a team member waiting for us at baggage claim which made migrating through the busy airport a breeze. Highly recommend this service. Once we arrived at the hotel, we never touched a bag - they were removed from the car and a very nice lady was waiting for us at the door. We were taken upstairs to the 45th floor which is the main area of the hotel. Check-in, Bar, Restaurants all start on the 45th floor and they are all surrounds by floor to ceiling windows with the most spectacular view! We were greeted with a welcome, drink, an overview of the hotel and services and then escorted to our room. We arrived earlier than normal check-in and they were so gracious to allow us to occupy our room! That is a huge pet peeve for me when hotels "wait" for their check-in time before they let you in! The room was LARGE; the bed was VERY COMFORTABLE and the bathroom exquisite - two separate sinks! And like the rest of the Ritz the view was memorizing. We had breakfast, lunch, dinner and room service and ALL were fantastic. Great Food, good value and fast service. The bar is stunning and a great place to be after a day of sightseeing. Breakfast buffet was what you would expect from a Ritz Carlton, delicious, beautiful and plentiful. It contained both Japanese and Western fare. On the entry level of the hotel, there is a plaza mall, with great shops and a food court with so many wonderful choices- this does not detract from the Ritz, it is SEPERATE area next door and is an added bonus to staying here! GREAT location since they were readily available at the hotel, we opted for taking taxis and Ubers most everywhere and the Ritz was very centrally located to all major sites and areas in Tokyo. We used the spa and pool and even if you do not use the facilities, you must go and see the pool Spectacular! I read some of the reviews left on TA, about the rooms being "dated" and well if I HAD to "complain" about something. maybe they are a little dated - BUT NOT worth mentioning - I would prefer to say they are more in the style of a classic Ritz Carlton and not as modern as some hotels - but I did not think twice about it! All the things I mentioned are reason enough to stay her - but if they are not. Then maybe the EXCELLENT service we received every single day from every single Ritz member will convince you. From a welcome note in the room, to little treats, to smiles along the way, to service that never says no, it truly was our honor to stay at The Ritz Carlton Tokyo! And no, I do not work for RC - nor do I know anyone who does, just a honest review!

The Ritz Carlton Tokyo was a great choice destination during my stay in Tokyo

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

The Ritz Carlton Tokyo was a great choice destination during my stay in Tokyo. Aya set the tone making me at home with her warm, friendly welcome to the hotel. Great location, beautiful views of Tokyo. Great restaurant options and overall nice facility. I WISH I could give the Ritz all 5 stars, however, I was made very uncomfortable by a staff member during my meditation, and relaxation time at the spa. Other than The Ritz Carlton Tokyo is 5+ stars.

A Special Memory in Tokyo – Celebrating Both My Birthday and Wedding Anniversary at The Ritz-Carlton Tokyo

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Last November, my wife and I had a truly special stay at The Ritz-Carlton Tokyo to celebrate both my birthday and our wedding anniversary. My first experience with The Ritz-Carlton Tokyo was earlier last year when my wife and I visited the restaurant Hinokizaka. Although we didn’t stay overnight at that time, we were deeply impressed by the exceptional service of Rachel from the concierge team, who went above and beyond to help us with various arrangements and information. Thanks to that warm experience, it felt only natural to return to The Ritz-Carlton Tokyo for such a meaningful occasion. Of course, the hotel’s hardware (facilities) and software (services) were both excellent, but what touched us most was the thoughtful and warm care from the concierge team. From the moment we checked in, we could feel their attentiveness, and the handwritten cards they prepared to celebrate both my birthday and our anniversary were truly unforgettable. At Hinokizaka, we enjoyed sushi during our first visit, and this time we tried teppanyaki — both experiences exceeded our expectations. Special thanks to Chef Yuki OE for creating such a comfortable and memorable dining experience. All these moments have become precious memories for us, and we are certain that The Ritz-Carlton Tokyo will continue to be a place we return to as a tradition whenever we visit Tokyo. Once again, our sincere thanks to everyone at The Ritz-Carlton Tokyo.
