The Ritz-Carlton, Tokyo

Ritz Carlton is known for having great concierge services and my experience in Tokyo confirmed this. I was looking for a tough lunch reservation in high season within a half hour window. Sato calmly called his way through a list of places, finding an excellent restaurant within a 15 minute taxi ride. Just the kind of pleasant expertise that yields results I expect from the Ritz.

We’ve just returned home from a truly beautiful and memorable time in Japan, and staying at The Ritz-Carlton, Tokyo was absolutely the right decision. We spent three nights there after exploring the Tohoku region, making Tokyo our final destination before heading home. This trip was especially meaningful, as it was to celebrate my parents’ 60th birthdays. From the very beginning, the service was exceptional. The team created such a personalized experience that made us feel genuinely cared for. Even before our arrival, the reservations team warmly welcomed us and patiently assisted with all my questions. A special thank you to Yuriko and the entire reservations team. We also received thoughtful communication from the loyalty team—Julia and Terumi—who responded promptly and ensured everything would go smoothly for our stay. Upon arrival, the warm welcome started the moment we stepped out of the taxi. We checked in with Taiki Kanai, who was very professional and detail-oriented. The next day, he went above and beyond by preparing a surprise for my parents—a handwritten card in our language along with a birthday gift. It was such a heartfelt gesture and truly meant so much to us. During our stay, we enjoyed in-room dining multiple times for both breakfast and dinner. The food was consistently excellent, and the service was outstanding. Saki, who took our orders by phone, was so lovely and even remembered our preferences. We were also fortunate to be served by Cindy several times. On the first night, after learning about my parents’ birthday, she returned with strawberries and a handwritten card. My parents were so happy. It was such a sweet and thoughtful touch. The room itself was big, clean, and very comfortable. We stayed in a Skyline View room, which offered stunning views of Tokyo. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we slept so well each night after our long days of exploring. The location was also perfect and very convenient, with Roppongi Station located just beneath Tokyo Midtown, making it easy to get around. We would like to sincerely thank the entire team at The Ritz-Carlton, Tokyo—including everyone whose names we may not have mentioned—for making our stay so comfortable, seamless, and unforgettable. This experience will be one of our memories for a lifetime. Thank you once again.

We can’t recommend this hotel enough. The rooms were beautiful. The view is outstanding. The service was impeccable from check-in to housekeeping to the service in the lobby bar to the restaurants especially the breakfasts and to getting us a cab and helping us in and out. Top notch service. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here thank you for an incredible experience. It was my husband’s birthday and our anniversary and they went above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay. This was one of the nicest Ritzs we’ve ever stayed at.

I have over 2,100 nights at Marriott properties and have stayed in them in Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Europe - This is hands down one of my top five favorite hotels in the word! If at all possible, you must get a room with Club access!

The Ritz-Carlton Tokyo was an excellent stay and one of the highlights of my time in the city. The hotel’s location high above Tokyo provides truly spectacular views from the rooms — waking up to the skyline each morning was a memorable experience. The lounge service was outstanding, with attentive staff and a relaxed, refined atmosphere. Service throughout the hotel was consistently warm, professional, and very helpful. I especially appreciated how attentive and proactive the staff were during my stay. The concierge team was also very helpful in assisting with arrangements and recommendations. My only suggestion would be for slightly faster email response times, as replies were noticeably slower compared to other properties I stayed at in Japan. That said, once in contact, the concierge service itself was excellent. Overall, this is a fantastic property with exceptional service, breathtaking views, and a very polished experience. I would absolutely stay here again.
