Fabulous hotel. Rooms are large and comfortable. Service was impeccable and as you would expect in Japan everyone was extremely helpful and polite Definitely would highly recommend. Great location near the station Overall a fantastic stay would definitely stay again !

The property has an outstanding house keeping service as most of the staff is Japanese. However, for Japan, where the standards of service are extremely high, this property disappoints. Concierge is staffed by young and inexperienced team members. Mistakes or /and oversights are a daily occurrence. At breakfast, the "Manager" walks around like a ship at the mercy of the prevailing winds. The staff fails to remove the plates when used, they just piled up. Hot water is not "refreshed" in the tea-pot. Long wait for eggs and omelettes to be served. In summary: unbecoming a Ritz Carlton. The hotel, in an effort to be "international" has imported staff from several regions of the world, to the detriment of true Japanese hospitality.

I don't leave a ton of reviews, but I felt it was absolutely called for after the incredible experience my friend and I had at the Ritz-Carlton, Tokyo. Long story short, we had a medical emergency in the middle of the night that required an ambulance to a local hospital during our recent stay. The way the hotel helped us, looked out for us, and made sure we were okay during the event and for the rest of our stay afterward really showed why this hotel is a true 5-star stay. Thank you to the manager, Shunpei, and the entire staff for everything you did for us. It turned what could have been a horrible vacation into one of the most (fondly) memorable either of us has ever taken. As for the rest of the stay: top notch all the way, from the room to the spa to the Concierge service. We even made time for an afternoon tea reservation that was 100% worth every cent. We were slightly worried about the location before we got to Tokyo, but turned out it could not have been better for us. Roppongi is such a cool neighborhood and easily accessible to everything by train or taxi. If you're wondering about our traveler profiles, we're both gay men in our early 40's who love a little luxury when we travel, but don't mind getting the full experience by walking, taking the train, eating in little smoke-filled yokochos, etc.

My recent visit to The Ritz Carlton Tokyo was generally a great experience, underscored by the hotel's handsome decor, cherry blossom experience, adjacent upscale mall, and sophisticated room designs that command impressive views of the city. The culinary offerings at the hotel were great, featuring a variety of meals that cater to discerning tastes, particularly for my vegetarian daughter that loved their veggie burger, fries, and garlic pasta. For anyone desiring the true "Cherry Blossom Experience" this is your hotel. Right when you pull up, you are welcomed with a plethora of beautiful cherry blossoms all over the neighborhood and surroundings, as the property is located at Tokyo Midtown, an upscale location with some of the best (low key) vistas in Tokyo. Moving to my actual hotel experience, I would like to commend the time in the spa. highlighted by a foot treatment from Benoit Perie, which was exemplary of the luxurious service standards one anticipates at The Ritz Carlton. The spa facilities are excellent, and a worthy indulgence. Nevertheless, this journey was not without its challenges. Although the majority of the staff displayed professionalism, there were instances, especially at the hotel bar, where the service felt somewhat lacking in warmth and attentiveness. The most unsettling moment came from the bar's singer, whose action of turning her back on me after I had settled in to enjoy the performance left me feeling alienated. As an African-American guest, this experience led me to question the inclusiveness of the service, which marred an otherwise splendid stay. The Ritz Carlton Tokyo boasts magnificent facilities that truly stand out. However, the essence of hospitality lies in making every guest feel welcomed and valued, an area where there seems to be room for enhancement. It is my hope that this feedback is received in the spirit of constructive criticism, urging The Ritz Carlton Tokyo to align its service standards more closely with its facility's excellence, ensuring a uniformly outstanding experience for all guests.
