Shangri-La Tokyo

If it is within your budget, this top hotel is an extraordinary experience. We have travelled a lot in most upmarket hotels and many do not match up to their name or the price they charge. Shangri-La Tokyo gives you value for money and their staff are so well trained, that makes me think why other hotels cannot do the same. From this one hotel, my preference is now with Shangri-La where ever I go.

Don’t overlook this hotel as a luxury family vacation option!!!! It is super central which is convenient, the service is absolutely excellent, the rooms are huge, and the kids will love the pool. We stayed as a group of 7 ranging from grandparents to a 6 year old, and everyone had a delightful 6 night stay. The beds are very spacious and they offer the ability to add a cot to the rooms, so 7 of us fit extremely comfortably in 2 rooms. The gym, the whirlpool and steam room, and afternoon tea / evening drinks in the Lobby Lounge were also perfection!! The staff is incredible - they would greet us by name and helped us with booking restaurants for dinner. The housekeeping was immaculate. The best stay we’ve ever had!

Visited Tokyo to enjoy the autumnal leaves in Fujikawaguchiko which was not disappointed. The stay in Shangri-la Tokyo is equally awesome and comfortable. The view of Tokyo Station and the Marunouchi side from my room was amazing which I loved to view while relaxing by the couch. Though could hear a little sound from the passing by trains, I'm okay as it was so natural. The aircon in the room and the water pressure in the bathroom were strong and to my liking. I hated weak aircon and water pressure for a good bath. Now the hotel's breakfast is now being served in their Italian restaurant instead of lobby lounge is a good improvement. The variety on the spread and one main course from the curated menu though limited but good enough for an enjoyable breakfast with friendly and attentive service rendered by the service team. The staff I met were all very polite and more than happy to assist, keep up the good work! Will be back next year.

Tokyo can be a lot. The location is two minutes walk from Tokyo Station. It is everything you'd want in a peaceful and perfect oasis. I'd add 'delicious' to that as well!

The Shangri-La is located across the street from the Tokyo station & steps from other shopping, historical & dining options. Our room has all of the best amenities in Japan with a lovely view overlooking the city, and the restaurants within the hotel are very good as well. (I am celiac and the restaurant servers and chefs were so attentive to ensuring my food was gf; much gratitude to them for this) The best part of staying here is the staff. They are incredibly friendly, helpful and efficient in all areas—from the doormen, front desk, concierge & restaurant staff to the less seen discreet positions like housekeeping and laundry services. Such a well run place that provides visitors with a 1st class experience. I can’t wait to stay here again on our next trip to Tokyo!
