Great business hotel
I can’t give it 5 ⭐️ after going to the Waldorf Astoria in Osaka. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are nice and clean and quiet and everything you expect from a 5 star hotel. The staff is amazing and the food and cocktails are fantastic but we felt like it lacked something. It doesn’t have any atmosphere or vibe you can take home and tell your friends about and that’s something some travelers will expect from a place like Shangri La.

Simply put our stay was exceptionally wonderful and exceeded all expectations. I was on a holiday in Tokyo with my husband and 11 year old daughter and we spent 10 amazing nights at the property. Big well done to Matthias Sutter and team(Thu Thu, Sanjeev, Piacera breakfast crew, front desk crew, housekeeping crew) - no ask was impossible and it was all done with a warm smile. Our deluxe room was huge and well-appointed, great shower and amazing bed! Hotel is just steps away from Tokyo Station and after a long “hard” day of shopping we were always greeted with a smile and greeting at the lobby. We WILL be back!

Luxurious and Top value
If it is within your budget, this top hotel is an extraordinary experience. We have travelled a lot in most upmarket hotels and many do not match up to their name or the price they charge. Shangri-La Tokyo gives you value for money and their staff are so well trained, that makes me think why other hotels cannot do the same. From this one hotel, my preference is now with Shangri-La where ever I go.

BEST luxury hotel for large family trip!
Don’t overlook this hotel as a luxury family vacation option!!!! It is super central which is convenient, the service is absolutely excellent, the rooms are huge, and the kids will love the pool. We stayed as a group of 7 ranging from grandparents to a 6 year old, and everyone had a delightful 6 night stay. The beds are very spacious and they offer the ability to add a cot to the rooms, so 7 of us fit extremely comfortably in 2 rooms. The gym, the whirlpool and steam room, and afternoon tea / evening drinks in the Lobby Lounge were also perfection!! The staff is incredible - they would greet us by name and helped us with booking restaurants for dinner. The housekeeping was immaculate. The best stay we’ve ever had!
