Conrad Tulum Riviera Maya

Arrived at the Conrad on a business trip. Asked for a room with a view but was given 1st floor that looked into the vegetation. No ocean view. We had wanted a soaking tub like many of the upper rooms had. Instead there was some odd pool on the patio that looked more like a cesspool. It seemed to have never been cleaned since the place was built! With scaly sides and sand in the bottom, I would not set foot in such a nasty pool. And in looking at the rooms next to ours... all had this same dirty unuseable pool. Really? 5 Star? The room was nice but lacked any hooks to hang anything in the shower and bathroom. Beds were quite comfortable. Service was lacking and seemed most staff did what asked but never going above or beyond. I asked the girl at checkin to book me any restaurant at any time... wasnt picky. Gave her my cell and room # to call me. She never called. Next day stood in line for 30 minutes at a makeshift table to book restaraunts. ANY restaraunt Any time. Was told absolutely none were available and all were booked, but I could go to the buffet! ... not sure why she was even there wasting everyone's time if nothing was available! DAily service at the pool was also limited. Get your towel, open your umbrella and get your drink on your own as staff was limited. Last day there (Saturday) there was a party at the pool so actually lots of service and carts with drinks rotating the pool. I had booked a massage for my brother and I at the spa. Got there and they only had one reservation. Again...They said they were booked and never offered any further service as I sat in their lobby for an hour waiting on my brother to finish his massage never speaking or offering anything. I have stayed at many 5 star locations. I have also stayed at 3 star locations... Though the place is beautiful I would give it 3 stars and thats being generous! And I wont ever be back!

Angie and Jose went above and beyond to make this a wonderful experience sharing themselves and their knowledge of the Mayan culture and the Yucatán /Riviera. Don’t miss out on making traditional crafts and many more activities.

Carlos was wonder we loved every minute of the Pilates and he is so nice ☺️ I will definitely go again it and I recommend the hotel so much!

Carlos was amazing teaching power Pilates and the fitness facility was very nice! I would really recommend staying here.

Mat Pilates with Carlos was excellent. It was a good challenge. But friendly for all levels He is very patient and a great instructor.
