Trump Turnberry

We came to Turnberry for a weekend getaway. The weather wasn't great but that's what you'd expect in February. Despite the downpour we received a warm welcome at 3pm on arrival and our room was ready! We really enjoyed the spa and pool facilities which were very relaxing. Dinner the first night in 1906 was busy with a large wedding event but didn't compromise our meal or service at all. The second day we went for a lovely local 6 mile walk in Maybole - the Kildoon Hill Circuit during the day - in pleasant countryside and again used the spa facilities. The hotel was quieter in the evening and we enjoyed our dinner in 1906 looked after by John, and Duono, our Sommelier who went out of his way to recommend restaurants to visit in South Africa. Such a personal and kind touch which we really appreciate. We had a very special weekend and would highly recommend. Both evenings we were looked after very well in the lounge bar with drinks by Alfie. Thank you to all of the team

recently stayed at Trump Turnberry for the first time, and the welcome was truly impressive. The room was stunning, the bed incredibly comfortable, and the views absolutely breathtaking. The bathroom felt luxurious, with a large tub that was perfect for relaxing. I also loved the cosy fire in reception — it created such a warm and inviting atmosphere. Unfortunately, when it came to the food and drinks, it was a complete letdown. We ate in both the clubhouse and the bar/lounge, and the quality of the food was average at best. The service felt disorganised, with lots of staff but very little structure — I would describe it as organised chaos. The standard of the meals, drinks, and overall service simply did not match the level of the hotel itself, which was disappointing. On a positive note, the horse riding experience was amazing, and breakfast was very good. Despite the issues with dining, I would stay again — but next time I would choose to eat out in the local area instead.

Went for afternoon tea on Valentine’s Day . We had afternoon tea before and was very nice in past . Service was slow , place was busy I guess . Staff did there best

We have had a fantastic stay in this incredible resort. From the moment we arrived and were greeted by friendly concierge and warm shortbread with elixir to wash it down. Gordon the concierge was amazing from the stories and walk around the hotel to arranging for our son to dress in kilt and accompany the piper, Ryan the chef who prepared off the menu special dishes and Boyd in the restaurant who spent time chatting with us and the 2 Andrew’s who run the off-road experience. Excellent food, amazing rooms with spectacular views and above all the welcoming staff who make you feel at home and nothing is too much trouble. We will definitely return.

We stayed over for a night as we came to this hotel a few years ago and had a beautiful sea view room, felt a little disappointed this stay as we had room 244 at the back of the hotel looking onto the carpark, our room had a slanted roof, which I managed to hit my head off when using the desk with the hair dryer in, also the plugs under this desk were all switched off at the wall, 3 times I had to climb under to get electric as the double socket in the desk did not work. My partner managed to hit his leg twice on the bottom of the bed trying to access the wardrobe,food and staff were fantastic, but felt the room was more economy rather than luxury, we would return back depending on what room was chosen for us
